UPDATE FROM SOLA
hey guys, i wrote to sola this tuesday and he replied back... on wednesday. can you friggin beat that? i don't even reply to my own friends that promptly!
amazing how he always makes that special little effort to keep in touch with his fans, no matter how busy he is. hell, he even replies to enquiries meant for the webmaster...
anyway sola gave me a brief update on himself and jami goings-on...
- he's working on some new material, but i'm not sure if he meant for his website, his music or both. regardless of which, he's looking at releasing an album very soon.
- in regards to the ever-important rumor of the sounds of the next album:
| Quote: |
| "The talk of returning to Brass is very hot no the agenda." |
i don't really understand this, can anybody help me out? ;P
- the band's currently rehearsing for the final shows of the year. like, duh. heheheh.
well, that's just about it. it's minimal but enough to keep me on a high!

I still don't understand what he meant with that sentence . Brass..
Brass BRASS ...does he mean BRasil? Rather not huh..hmmmm. Ok..BRass as kind of music stile..no ? ..is very hot no after the agenda. The talk of returning to brass is very hot...! They are having a hot debate about returning to to their old music stile or not. Ok so far I think we understand . What the last sentence means...not sure . Maybe he meant they are under time pressure...and producing an album after their old style would take too long.??????
maybe sola reads it and replies to it . _________________ Be open and honest..coz the next person u meet could become ur best friend. |

hehehe, thanks spacecoffee for the translation attempt!
well i know about what is meant by the 'return to brass' - i actually posed that phrase to him in the question. what puzzles me is what is said after that... 'very hot no the agenda'? hmmm.
BTW, brass, if i'm not mistaken, is the section of a band that features brass instruments, esp. horns i.e. trumpets, trombones, saxaphones, flutes etc etc etc.
it might have been an accidental full stop but i checked and the very next sentence makes sense by itself.
oh well, thanks anyway!

I am definetely an optimistic and I can imagine that he wanted to type "ON" instead of "NO".
I encounter the same typing mistake several times per day...but mst of the time the Word version I use corrects it automaticaly.
So the brass topic is on the agenda.
Which would mean the Jamiroquai think very much about including the brass section again in their music.

THAAAAAAT'S IT!!!!!!!!
or at least that's what it most likely is.
it's like a 'why didn't i think of that?' scenario now.
thanks a GAZILLION sunrayvibe!
my sleepless nights are over...
changing the 'no' to an 'on' has turned the sentence around by 360 degrees... it's astonishing.
it's such good news, now i wonder if my sleepless nights have just begun again... |

Davina, you're far from being a dufus!
And just the mention of "Jay's light sabre" has made my stomach turn! Well, it's either that or the chicken I just ate.
(You know, when I was young, I used to think it was a "Light-Saver". I never got my head round why it would be used to save light.)
