'Feels Just Like It Should'.The Topic
Hello Jamirotalkers,
Two news: one good, the other one, bad.
Good one first: someone heard 'Feels Just Like It Should' in a Promo CD of a Tower Record Store.
Bad one: he said is not that good (ok, only one opinion, but still!).
Here it is:
| Quote: |
| I heard a low quality sample of it at Tower Records today. They have this promo CD for in store play that has all these new songs. It had Xscape's "Wassup" on it. The R&B version is so much worse than the one posted in the NonSingles Discussion area. And they had the Morales Mix of "It's Like That" by Mariah on there too. It sounded great on the sound system they have. They also played this new track by Fannypack which is a cover of Lidell Townsell's "Nu Nu". It sounds kinda cheesey. |

Hello,
Hmmm...that is interesting BUT it could be a faker, I mean, I can't imagine a sample of "FJLIS" getting onto a instore CD THIS QUICK! Nevertheless, I will consult my local Tower Records today and find out what is up, if I find out something, I will post it. Thanks for that blurb Brother Diego, much appreciated as always ! Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,

Hello again,
After a few more read throughs of this guy's post, it COULD be real . So I posted a message on that portion of the forum inviting the guy to come to JamiroTalk.net and post a review of what he heard. Here's a link to my post on the Forum:

"one opinion of an american does not mean you should follow it." well, thats what my grandfather said
it'll rock. it was probably some low-quality one, hence the reasoning for the "crapiness" of the song.
they probs did it low-quality so that when it comes out all guns blazing (ie high quality sound), it'll blow the pants off them. |

Hello yet again,
Sorry to say, but it was all unheard news to my fellow fan manager friend at my local Tower Records, but he said he would keep his eyes out for a instore promo with the single on it . In the post I put on the Pulse Forums, still no answer yet there, but I think a answer there will take some time it being a isolated forum. I'll keep you all updated! Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,

I agree with your grandfather Pietro!! Do we even know if this person is a Jami fan? It could be they don't particularly like any Jami tunes!! |

Gotta tell you, I've heard "Feels Just Like It Should" (In fact I'm listening to it now). It came onto the English Napster (the proper one) on Monday - I just stumbled across it now.
I think it's the funkiest damn thing they've ever done. It's not like other Jamiroquai stuff. It has this awesome riff running through it, guitar backed up with a stonking overdriven synthesizer (like a phat Moog bass line run through a guitar amp). Glittered with occasional wah guitar licks. This is real old skool disco stuff... get your mirror ball, best flairs/afro combination - jacket over shoulder - and work it!!!!!!!
The lyrics are the usual Jay Kay ramble ("Going out on laser beams, that shoots out cherry style//I'm like a little free-agent, I got myself a 5 mile smile" - or something like that, they're pretty hard to make out).
I'm a songwriter - I know when something has "hit" written all over it.
This is going to be a big one.

Hello again,
Hmmm.. that is interesting, but I have to be wary of possible fakers who could just be posting something like that to get a rise out of us and are playing a joke (Please understand, I have been the target of and some other friends of mine who are die-hard fans have been fooled by fakers posting false information and mean comments against Jamiroquai and it's fans). I'm not discrediting your post in any way Brightside, just adding the reasoning for this warning, you could be telling the truth, and if this is true, we are very appreciative to you ! I'm sure you can post a link to your copy, just as long that it isn't possible to download, you know, like RM or WMA file of it. Just a suggestion, thanks for the post Brightside! Hope you can share it with us, send it to CosmicMouse so she can verify it, then we can go from there! Peace!
Sincerely,
