Guys!
i asked JAMIE some more questions but as he was busy he answered only on Thu Mar 10.
he mentioned TOBY SMITH again and says JAY is his favourite performer of the 90s.

Me:
hi Jamie!
here are my questions:
1)when you make up a song..
do you record yourself in laptop or PC?
what program do you use to record yourself?
do you have your home studio?
what gear, instruments do you have at home?
what is your fave mic for live performing?
do you plan to give any of your demo or
live tracks for download or release as as a b-sides?
2)at what age and how did you start to understand a thing about jazzy chords , harmony..
did you analyse any chord progressions of any performers? and what performers ?
3)do you love oldschool disco funk..like Roy Ayers?
would you like to record something like that?
4)please say who are your favourite
musicians i mean instrumentalists..
like fave drummer, bassist, keyboardist,
guitarist and singer.
5)who do you think was the greatest uk performer of 90s?
6)tell us about your band who performs with you on stage.
are they much older than you?
7) are you going to make a song
and record it completely all by yourself
i dont mean mixing mastering etc,
but making all the arrangements and
do all instruments and programming?
like George Michael or P McCartney did.
thanks.

JAMIE:
Hi
Thanks for your questions - there are quite a few, but i'll do my best.
I have a home studio and I use a mac with Logic. I play all the instuments myself and some of the tracks on the album have been mostly played at my studio.
To answer your question about doing everything myself, 'Shameful' was completely done at home and then co-produced elsewhere.
I have grown up listening to a lot of jazz music and the combination of that and working with Toby Smith makes the album sound the way it does.
I'm a big fan of Roy Ayres and other such Old School funk artists. The mic I use for performing is a SM58 which is pretty much the standard.
As for different instrumentalists I have always been a big fan of Steve Gadd (drummer), Mark Knopfler & Richie Zambora (Guitar) - the list goes on.
Lastly, I think the greatest UK performer of the 90's was JK
Take care, Jamie
