From what I've heard, and I've heard a lot, the song truly is different. But haven't we all expected that?
It definetly does not sound like Britney Spears, so you can sleep well. It does have a 'cachy' melody and lyrics, but since when is that a crime?
I like the song, even though I do expect the rest of the album to be better. This is just a 'cachy' single to break ice. Nothing wrong in that |

mmm, i've never felt so many feelings for a song. At first i liked it, then i disliked it a bit and now i jut can't stop listening to it!!
i know it's rocky, but as Meike, i was also prepared for this. i mean, BDC and Canabliss, and the name Dynamite were enough predictions... i like it, no matter what you say...
besides, no one can say that the whole album will be rocky, perhaps that is the esence of the album but there may be some acid jazz songs in it, or latin ballads, who knows! we'll have to wait.
And there's one more thing no one wrote here... we shouldn't forget that Jamiroquai really does magic with the live versions of the songs. remember Twenty Zero One? Many of us didn't like it when we heard it on the album... but live, for example in Live In Verona... it's just great! Jamiroquai is a live band, we should not forget this... _________________

okay, funky people, an official request from the jamirotalk-team:
have a discussion about the song-sample, but please try not to get personal with each other.
on a personal note: i've always been a huge fan of deeper underground, so i really like the sample and can't wait to hear more of it _________________ Dear Auntie Em. Hate you, hate Kansas, took the dog. Dorothy. x |

I hate the song. IT just stinks. What a pity. 4 years waiting for this shit. Ok, so we have this Lenny kravitz sample and probabilly also the Cannabliss shit.
We don´t deserve this. I was looking for the "retourn of the old sound" as jay promised.
oh, I´m so sad for the band...
What a pity my boy, what a pity... |

ok
all we have heard is A 14SECOND sample of 1 track... i repeat 1 track and only 14 seconds ... so dont go judging this whole album by a mesley 14seconds of 1 track! ok people! and just be glad that after so many delays and stuff we have actually heard something finally!
from all the winging that is going on from 14 seconds of 1 track is just ridiculous ... i personally love to hear rock infused its a gr8 mix ....
people seem to be jumping to conclusions to quickly these days!
*ps i totally agree with cosmicBear on this one* deeper underground kicked butt and love that style!

oh, come on, guys!!!! you know one song and one sound-sample, maybe two songs if you got the full version of 'Feels Just Like It Should' (those shortcuts confuse me ). Don't judge the entire upcoming album by this.
Listen to 'A Funk Odyssey' or 'Synkronized' and you find lots of different styles in the music. I am sure you'll find some tunes on the new album that will suit your taste better.
what i'm wondering myself - we went from 'feels so good' to 'feels just like it should'... next (seventh) album will have a track 'feels as good as it should have right from the beginning'? _________________ Dear Auntie Em. Hate you, hate Kansas, took the dog. Dorothy. x |

You people who are still wishing for the Acid Jazz to return need to learn a hard lesson: It's not coming back. |

great minds think alike
EDIT:
yeah, i guess you are right, jaydub. i doubt we'll get the same old acid jazz back. but maybe we should look at it as an evolution. bandmembers have left and new have joined. so they developing a new style. i liked all their albums. some songs more, some less. so i have no doubt in their next album as well. i will find 'my songs' and just pass the others. and i can't wait for a new tour. jamiroquai kicks butt the most on stage and 'feels just...' will be a great song live, i'm absolutely convinced!!! i remember one concert in berlin where jay said right before deeper underground 'i wanna see you jump' - and we'll jump again, but this time at a new song (or maybe both?!?!?!?) _________________ Dear Auntie Em. We don't deserve anything - even if we do or don't like the sound of the new song Jamiroquai don't owe any of us by sticking to a certain style musically. Like it or hate it, but we can't expect them to not evolve or change. After all, we have all changed a lot in the last 10+ years... |

CAN WE DO A JUDGMENT LISTENING TO A 14 SECOND SONG??.....LET ME ANSWER TO SOME "FANS" IN THIS WEB....NOOOO....i don't like people with negative thinking...wait to listen the hole cd and then talk about it!!!!
i like the way that the sample sounds....its like seventies movies with something new...but i will do my judgment after listen the complete version or the complete album,,,im really mad with some people here...they are too negative a priori.... _________________ ..::There´s a Superman coming::..

Ok Jami Fans - hands up !!
How many of you hated AFO because it was too radical, too different and didn't sound like Synkronized, which was too radical, too different and didn't sound like TWM, which may not have been the expected follow up to ROTSC ???
The band have been going for over 12 years, they have to change and come up with new ideas. Yes there will be those that say there's not enough Fender Rhodes, possibly less Strings & Horns, and dare I say, too much Guitar.
Enjoy the back catalogue for what it is, a great snapshot of Jamiroquai over the years and some A1 stonking tunes. But don't believe that history is going to be repeated. If Jay wants to take us further to the stars, we first have to take our heads out of the sand !!
Bring it on !! |
