guys, there is no way they are going to bring back the sound of eope or rotsc. There is no way - have a look at the lineup of the band. If I was jay i wouldnt be trying to catch an old sound, i mean at the end of the day would you feel as though you have achieved anything? The boys need to be pushing the limits, pushing a new sound. Achieving. Dont get me wrong, I would wet my pants if I heard the massive tight horn lines again but im not holding my breath, im just hoping the new album will enspire a new breed of funk. Broaden all of our horizons.

I really like it. But folks, come on did you expect it to be anything but the unexpected? Very Happy What has me thinking wondering is if the younger fans are more polarized on the negative, versus some of the older fans being polarized on the positive because they recognize the eras this track is pulling from (the 80's too) I want to hear it mixed for the club Very Happy

what i'm wondering myself - we went from 'feels so good' to 'feels just like it should'... next (seventh) album will have a track 'feels as good as it should have right from the beginning'?

lol! i was also thinking on the same, something like "i feel i already feeled this feeling and it's so good! (i should feel this good feeling more often!)"

and i also think theres gonna be songs that everybody of us fans love it, and of course as always more if it's live

i'm also agree with what mainveinman said

"Jamiroquai is the funkiest band" and "Jay Kay is the king of Funk"
heeeheheheeh sure..............
wasn't his main idea to have a funky band?
why do they have to evolve? so, all that shit means that funk is going to dissapear... i mean, if all the bands starts funky, and then they come with all that fucking shit about evolving and BLAH BLAH BLAH... SO I THINK THAT FUNK IS GOING TO BE EXTINGUISHED.... tell me if that is not the true...

my dad listened the stupid 14 seconds and he was so deceptionated.... he said: "close Windows Media Player" we will buy the new "Real" album coming on May.... and i was talking to my friends and they said: "Dynamite"? hehehe do the album explode or something like that? and we laughed of Jamiroquai all the day.... but if we talk about the first four albums, i will defend Jamiroquai all as i can... cos there are great jewels... not that new crappy shit....

but if you say it's good and blah blah blah again... that's you... i don't like it... and this album is not going to be the same as past albums....

"we are returning to our roots"
HEHEHEHEHEEHEHEHE YOU MAKE ME LAUGH MAN....
these are not your roots... these are Lenny Kravitz roots...
but as all of you said: "Jamiroquai is not going do again what they did on the first three albums" and that's correct..

it's like something that my father said these days: "Edgar, i want to explain you something, (cos i lived this in the world of Salsa), when a group of guys appear on scene, they want to do their best, as Jamiroquai did on their beginnings, i like the three first albums, but the other two, and the "Dynamite" (he laughed), are not very well albums. So, they do their best job to get fame! and yeah! they got famous with Travelling Without Moving.... and now they hav all their pockets full of money and they don't care about their sound... but first they were looking for fame and they did a lot of great sounds and songs, the first three albums are beautiful, from the beginning to the last song, but the others are..... terrible...

See Jay Kay now, he has all the money of the world (not exagerating cos Bill Gates has all the money of the world) hehehe, now he wants to spend his money in drugs and flash cars... music is not just more than a pretext...

i totally agree with him... and i know that you will come again and say: jamiroquai is evolving and i really hate that stupid shit.... cos they don't have to evolve, they are not Pokemons or something like that.... they're musicians and if they won the world with songs like Space Cowboy, Cosmic Girl and When you gonna learn, they will win again the world with songs of the same quality of these ones, not that crappy shit...

Hope you really understand my comments... i do not agree with Jay Kay and all his stupid ideas... i think that consuming Cheeba has destroyed his mind... he has not soul education, hehehehe

bye guys... Wink

1. I have never seen a topic grow so fast.

2. I DON'T LIKE THE SAMPLE. that's it. i am sure, as i have discussed with Catman, that the rest of the song and album will be stonking.

3. Is this tension in the JMQ Fanbase unprecedented (ie history repeated)?

When I saw the video clip for "Little L" in August 2001, i thought I don't like it. Why? Because I compared it to the previous (and only) JMQ song i had heard before, and that was Black Capricorn Day.

4. FunkEducation, YOU ARE WRONG.

i have never been a fan of music "evolution", but it happens, and it always ends up great.

of course it will not be the same. JMQ would have to create something cracking and excellent (enter EOPE and TROTSC) or even better than the first 3 albums to come out the winner.

JAMIROQUAI IS NOT FINISHED. the fanbase MUST NOT write off their band of choice. xxxxxxxxxxx*

i will state it again: while i don't like the sample provided (just the SAMPLE), that does not mean i am writing off the band altogether (or the album.) YOU SHOULD NOT EITHER. if you do, then you are not a true JMQ fan.

and i won't stand down from my comments. thanks for listening.

Hey party people,

stay nice, don't get personal. Respect opinions and discuss, no personal attacks!!

And for those who are that negative and pessimistic about 15 SECONDS!!!... be patient before you heard the complete album and THEN decide if Jamiroquai is walking into a direction that YOU don't like. Respet that other ones are optimistic, though.

i hav just said that i don't like the 14 seconds and the new way the band is taking...

but i don't want to fight, i accept your critics...

if you agree with FunkEducation, then get out. go home. listen so some other hollow shit.

Ok... i'll do it... there's no problem for that. now i see we hav to pay hard for our comments... it's something like in Cuba... cool... if I say something you don't like, so get out of here... nice nice... i'll get out of here cos i'm really defending my words...

bye guys

I think everyone is under a lot of stress here Smile
Some of you guys probably had high expecations to start with, plus you secretly hoped this new alum will be just like your favorite song. That probably wont happen, and you shouldn't be dissapointed with that.
You'll like this one even better, believe me. Chin up..

Like Meike said - STOP with the personal attacks... Evil or Very Mad If people here decide they no longer want to follow Jamiroquai because of the new sound thats cool: I got no problem with that or them! I have bands I used to like but don't any longer. When people ask me if I like them I give the honest answer, "I like their old material but not their newer stuff" Unless we get personal we are allowed our opinions. It's no big deal. I'm into music I LIKE. I'm not obliged to carry on supporting or following a band whose sound I no longer like!! So please, lets try & keep this exciting thread friendly without launching personal attacks... Rolling Eyes
