Jamiroquai - The 6th Album
I'm thinking horns, string orchestrations, live band, sweet harmonies and Jay at his best. Maybe some striped down acoustic numbers cos that really brings out Jay's voice at its most soulfull. I also think we could get some electronic tracks, simply because 'Twenty zero one' is so fat, and I think there's a lot to explore down that line. I beleive Jay & the boys will do some totally funky disco tracks as well to make people wanna boogie, cos they do that style so well. I honestly beleive that Jay has a masterpiece record in him and one day he will pour his soul out onto a record and will produce something as good as 'Innervisions' by Stevie Wonder. I think Jay can adapt so well to so many styles, Funk, Disco, Jazz Funk, Soul, Latin, Neo-classical, Scar/Reggae, Dance & some electro funk rock. His has no limitations. I just hope he follows his heart and writes some really good stuff. What do you fans wan't from the next album?
P.S. Is Toby gonna come back to write? (I really hope so) |

I hope that the go back to the brass ! !
I really hope that the sixth album goes back to the sound of Emergency On Planet Earth and Return Of The Space Cowboy as they are my favourite albums. Although I love all the albums because I love Jamiroquai, I think it would be great if they went back to there old sound on the next album.
Here's us talkin' about the different sounds of Jamiroquai when apparently Jamiroquai's songs all sound the same !!!!
I THINK NOT !!!!!!!!
P.S. Can't wait for the DVD. |

i would like to hear them do a little bit of everything, they should do one song per catagory ; brass, funk, disco, acid jazz, electronic, soul, and they should do a few songs in a whole new sound, just so they can specialize in more styles. _________________

This is just how I would like the 6th album to be ... but I must admit that some SURPRISING tracks or new direction will increase the pleasure.
T. Smith writing for the sixth album? A nice dream.
Let's see which interesting spice M. Johnson will pour in the Jami soup. _________________ ?Now I've got that sunshine in my life? |

i'm trying not to hold any expectations for this album... i love surprises!
well, apart from sola implying that the return to brass is not far from fiction...

i'm digging your metaphors sunny! clever gal!
i hope the 6th album goes back to the sound of the three albums! i wanna hear BASS, DOUBLE BASS & TRIPLE BASS. lol EOPE, ROTSC and TWM were all about bass. that's what made the songs stay in my head & stand out, as the best. (TWM, mr moon, scam, EOPE)
i'd also like to see an instrumental song, on the new record! plsssss just saying this makes me think of that amazing instrumental song called, "music of the mind"! :D
EXTENDED SONGS - need i say more? :)
aaahh......and of course, an acoustic song! JK should definitely add an acoustic song to the new record. the way he sings "picture of my life" (acoustic version) is so soft & delicate & he sings it with emotions, which makes the song worth listening to. his voice suits well, with this music technique & should definitely go for it! _________________ My heart is a pure sun and the sky is black, and I can feel cold steel when I turn my back, it stings like needles, with a jagged tongue, you know this scream reminds me, of when I was so young |

Still funky
I think next album will be special... it can be the best of all... I hope it´ll retourn to the very beginnings of jamiroquai... something like EOPE... with lot of bass and digeridoo... and I´m wondering how will be the next kind of hat Jay´s gonna wear! |

The 6th album with inspired 1st & 2nd album grooves...
Hello, :bm_b:
Greetings, man, I've missed alot of topics on my hiatus! I've been sick, so excuse my tardiness. Ah....The 6th album, the most eagerlly anticipated album for Jamirophiles since the long months wait in 2001 for AFO. I'm hoping JK does a lot of reflecting and thinking for this album, then Toby returns with some new views and the JK/Toby relationship much like the late Robbie Williams/Guy Chambers yields some more classic Jamiroquai vibes! JK may need to research for the 6th album by FINALLY taking in some input from the fans, hence POST ON J-TALK OR JAMIROTALK.NET! I just hope he stays true to his word and refashions the old sound to the new album. Thanks for listening and the usual props to CosmicMouse & Bear! Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

Brass & good ol' funk!
That's what it's going to be, it has to be!!
No, honestly, I'd be happy to discover new sounds. I trust JK to be true to his soul and vibes. Although, I heard him say he wanted to go back to real instruments and brass..
I'm thinking tunes like "Do it like we used to", so much positive energy and vibes, and boogie.
Can't wait for this album; but I think the guys need a rest, they're still touring. And Jay needs to regroup and convince Toby to collaborate again, if not tour. They are such a good team.
And Wallis, we miss you so much, please come back.
ps: @CosmicMouse and Bear, we need a Didgeridoo(oops Yidaki) emoticon. cheers _________________ "got a pocket full of rainbows" |

I wonder if the "folk" direction that was slightly taken with the accoustic version of "Black crow" will be pursued. _________________ ?Now I've got that sunshine in my life? |

Hey!
Great pic Jamirofan2000...his hair looks wicked when its long.
I think they're releasing a box set called THE COMPLETE ODYSSEY or something like that. Its really freaking me out coz when bands do that sort of stuff it makes me think that they're through with recording/touring. Its just strange seeing a Jamiroquai box set next to Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Doors, Bob Marley...etc etc
I'm scared!! |

Don't worry Sanida!
It's just a way to bring more money in. Then Sony are happy, Jami are happy and those who buy the COMPLETE ODYSEEY are happy.
So you see, it's a wonderful world. _________________ ?Now I've got that sunshine in my life? |
