All his movements are is own natural feelings about the rythm and the music transported into his moves. He once said that he could never imagine to take lessons for dance moves...that would been not natural for him and would make him feel uncomfortable..
And yes of course cheeba lover is right! Skating influenced his moves most. Just take a look at many of his moves in the video clips...like Space Cowboy or Canned heat...in some moves you can really imagine that he has a board under his feet  _________________

Skateboarding and breakdancing. When he was a teenager he literally lived in the streets, so he was influenced this way. _________________
