My favourite flower
I smoke some on weekends, when I'm with my friends. It's like a rule smoke some when we're in a gig.
I normally don't smoke when I'm alone, but if I do, I like to listen to Bob Marley, to keep on grooving. We have loooong talks....

I've never had cannabis, not do i intend to. i totally respect those that DO have weed, but it seems to affect them.
my reason for saying this: where i work, i deal with alot of tradesmen (eg concretors, painters, carpenters etc.). they always talk to me about what i shouldnt do in life (dont drive fast, respect women etc.), but they ALWAYS push the subject that i should never touch drugs.
no wonder. some of the guys at work still use pot and they are, well, stupid.
I'm not saying the occasional puff will make you as dumb as a doorknob, but after seeing those guys, i wont want to touch it.
but you guys can puff away as much as you like.

um there are other things to do other than smoking pot. like working or going out and having fun with friends.
but i suppose it depends on ur circle of friends.
my friends dont use pot because they do so much other stuff (plus they dont want it). its a choice. make it up for yourself. |

yeah i only do it at partys occasionally but these partys are like at my second home lonnng story so i can kick back to bobmarley or jamiroquai while smoking cheeba

Everyone is different in their own personal opinions not only on the use of cannabis but of all kinds of drugs including regular cigarettes & alcohol. We all have free will so can choose what we want to do. Our own choices only become a problem when they start to adversely effect those around us 
I've not smoked cannabis & have no desire too & I've not smoked cigarettes either. I'm not trying to shine my halo here because I admit to drinking alcohol & at times getting rather drunk. I know that alcohol can cause problems too.
Basically we're all free to make our own choices but we should be mature enough to know when it is inappropriate to do certain things & hopefully be sensible enough to know our own limits... |

haha u make it sound liek im a child well im 16 old enough to make my own decisions.....
virtually insane .. i dunno if u read the topic but with alcohole i beleive it is way worse the cheeba i mean like mike said would u rather 5 big burley men drunk and on a rampage or 5 big burly men laughing havign a good time stonned

Yeah I agree Todd thats why I wasn't passing judgement on people who smoke cannabis. Like I said its up to each of us what we do & to know our own limits. Yes I do drink but I respect other people & if I'm around friends who are against alcohol I respect that & stick to fruit juice. And I do know my limits. I've never drunk to the point of not knowing what I am doing & not remembering things the next morning... |

Thing is, I don't know if the ppl who smoke know, that their choices ALWAYS affect others....once u buy ANY one of these drugs, especially if illegaly, u are approving of drug commerce...u will never know, until u've experienced it, what it is like to see ppl dying because of drug dealer fights....innocent ppl, because u guys just wanna be stoned.....and don't give me the crap that "it's only once a week", or "only once in a while, i'm not a regular buyer"...for me u buy, and u carry part of the responsibility for the deaths of thousands...

 It is surprising to see so many here who like JMQ and especially Return of the Space Cowboy, being one of thier best songs, and not partaking in Blazing up the Chronic.

I guess from the sound of some of your remarks, it seems like it greatly depends on the country you are from. I mean mer said that you are supporting drug commerce or something, come on, we are not talking about HEROIN  here. If you are getting your herb from some crazy drug cartel  in south america, that is just stupid on your part.
Most of the herb from California comes from Northern Cali - Humboldt, Medocino, and Oregon, and even Vancouver B.C.(Canada) and a lot of time it's from organic homegrowers that have been there for years!! (and have nothing to do what-so-ever with Mafia's, or gangs, or cartels)
 So please have some respect when talking about this subject, because the laws are very different for the rest of the world. Some places are very relaxed with the idea, and some places you will get your hand chopped off for even thinking about it.
It is truly sad that there is such a misconception about Jah Herb. Because it really is'nt that bad! It is actually medicinal and theraputic for a lot of people   But everyone has an opinion, and that's what this forum is about!! I just wanted to put my two-cents in.     |

Yep, sorry if i made it unclear, i mean in my country...
Except i'd like to see you in my position, last year, when i was in Rio, and i was on the pool in the hotel gloria (one of the best in town), and suddenly someone yells "get down", and crazy stoned dealers (I DON'T CARE WHAT THEY WERE ON, IT DOESN'T MATTER) pass by and just decide to "drive by"(yes, just like in Grand Theft Auto) the pool area...i had bullets flying over my head dude....
I almost died, because of ppl who buy drugs....no matter what drugs, they were influencing the dealing, and the commerce, and that's that.....I feel sad for those who aren't as lucky as i am, to have someone yell "get down" for them.....countless others...
Of course, since u don't live in South America, u don't see much violence, right? It's okay there....c'mon, gimme a break, In my opinion, anyone who buys drugs is responsible for this, and you tell me, did those two men in the car have any RESPECT???

i actually stopped smoking grass because of 'herbs from so-called organic homegrowers from nothern cali'
while i was living i cali, i got offered some herb at a party. three puffs later and this bear here was really from another galaxy   i'm a big guy and it normally took more than tree puffs to get me on
a friend of mine knew the woman, who offered the stuff and told me that it would be okay. what everybody forgot to mention/just didn't know was that she had mixed it with LSD or some other chemical shit.
i totally freaked on the way home. i don't remember everything, but i do remember screaming at my friend because she was driving too fast (she was maybe going 15 mph) and not really being able to move the way i wanted. i spent the next two days in bed, not being able to take my responsibilities as an au pair and had my host-family worry about me. this was enough for me to stop using that shit. i was never really into drinking. i might have a red wine now and then, but that's about it. i don't like to loose control over myself.
if someone decides that he or she wants to get stoned, fine with me. and you might even be very relaxed when doing it. but think about the poor people who are sober and have to listen to you... you guys are talking sooooooooo slow 
mers, it's terrible what happened to you and i'm glad that you came out alive! that is actually a reason to legalise that stuff. to prevent people to go mad about money...

Unless you personally know the person the stuff is coming from, you dont always know what you are getting. And what I mean with that is people will tamper with it to make it "better" (at least here) and I dont believe thats always related to quality, its related to people not being able to settle for what theyve got. This isnt the stuff from the 60's. Marijuana is a drug- the pharmacuedical companies have concepted certain anti-depressents around what marijuana does with serotonin in the brain. Its a drug, and it changes your brain when you take it whether you are able to notice it afterwards or not. So if you dont mind that you dont remember things the same maybe its ok. Thats if you can remember that you dont remember things the same  But also since its a drug the effect it has on people is different with the dose. And you dont know what your personal level is always cause its not marked on the bottle. For anxious people, you cant smoke and if you do you can only take a tiny bit or you will become paranoid and thats not related to quality either- your body doesnt react to the drug the same. For teens smoking, ya'll need to consider that your brain is still growing and wont be finished until somewhere between 18 years till your early 20s depending on your own individuality. Marijuana will change how your brain grows, could interfere in what you are mentally able to do. Really its better to try this as an adult but do what you want to. I did as a teen, am still walking around maybe minus a few IQ points but am not running into closed doors- yet still something got lost there that I cant get back.
Really shame on the governments for not regulating this stuff, it causes more trouble by not having to adhere to standards. |
