Habemus Papa
As I saw a post talking about the pope's death, is my duty to say something about the new one. To those who are Catholic (and to those who aren't too!!) what do you think about this new Pope?
Kisses to all

I like him. I mean, I liked John Paul II, and Benedict XVI was one of his best friends, and according to some sources, the one who gave him advice, so I think he'll do things right. Of course, he should be more flexible with some topics, for example allowing the usage of condoms, which would be really great. I think people should were condoms, not only to avoid pregnancy, but as an AIDS bareer, too, at least until they get married... _________________

I don't, the guy lives in the middle ages.... I hope he doesn't last too long, If the church keeps going this way it will also keep losing people. _________________ We're going to a funktion yeah yeah yeah |

For me, it's too early to say something about the new Pope.
It's sure that there's no comparison to do with Karol: the figure of Ratzinger is more authoritarian and severe.....and the Congregation of vaticane says that he's anchored to the old moral ideas of life.
We'll see.
Colonia will be the fire proof for him _________________

the future of Benedict XVI is limited, because he is 78 years old. he'll probably cark it in 10 years. |

@starman
May I ask you something ?
How long back in time is "conservative" in your opinion ?
Possible answers:
A )As long as there is human life ?
B) 10.000 years ago ?
C) 2000 years ago ? ( Does "conservative" start with Jesus Christ ?)
D) Middle age
E) 200 years ago
F) 60 years ago ( End of World War II ? )
I mean, if you want the Church to stay "conservative" you should at least
have an idea of at what state it is supposed to be stuck, aren´t you . |

you cant change the church,coz church needs to be like it was 2000 years ago and i oppose everyone that try to change it,it has strong foundations and it resisted to all sorts of temptation..the best example is the election of the pope..the world understood this as a election for president or something(ITS NOT THE SAME );everybody wants open minded pope,and pope that would make music videos,and to go extreme..everybody would like a gay pope..this has gone too far,and john paul the second was strict and tradicionalist and he was a GREAT POPE..so to anyone that has something against the election of ratzinger xxx!

@CheebaLover:
You are getting a little bit aggressive here, don´t you.
Do you think , that´s what Jesus wanted his followers to be like, 2000 years ago ?
I don´t think so...
So you´re not really " conservative" , are you...
P.S.: I think the moderator should close this discussion now.
Too much aggressiveness and negativity for my taste....

Ok Mtey ! I understand !
If it isn´t a personal assault to write what CheebaLover just wrote
| Quote: |
| " so to anyone that has something against the election of ratzinger xxx! " |
,
it surely isn´t a personal assault either if I write the following :
" so to anyone who is in favour of the election of ratzinger xxx ! "
It´s surely o.k. if I write that, isn´t it Mtey .

And by the way :

@Cheeba lover :
If the Church had stayed like it was 2000 years ago, there
wouldn´t be a Pope or Kardinals or whatever.
Because there wasn´t anything like that 2000 years ago.
There was just Jesus and the apostels and the people who listened to his speeches.
So please don´t tell me the Church shouldn´t change and it should stay like it was 2000 years ago, because it has already changed, my dear...

church is going in GREAT direction. if we just manage to keep up going this way in next 2000 years that would be awesome!!!
and yes i think Holy church needs to stay conservative cos only like that we can have some moral ''organisation'' in this world that we can really admire.
but we all have different oppinions... _________________ zdravi i veseli bili |
