10 YEARS
It sounds both so long and so short.
I wish JAMIROQUAI to experience in the next 10 years at least twice as much creativity as the band did until now (Is it musically possible?).

A belated happy Birthday to Jamiroquai.
Haven't posted forever, but listens to Jam everyday.
a funny coincidence:Around Oct 19th, I listened to WYGL for the first time in months, not realizing it was a landmark in Jam history.
I take it as good sign for the Jam years to come,

Hi all!
Finally I find some time to post a few messages here...
@Ezbe:
Well, I actually meant the Maxi CD of WYGL (from Acid Jazz), and not the 12", because unfortunately I don't have a record player...
Anyways, it saves a lot of money for me!
Another thing, Ezbe you wrote a very great short-review of the last 10 years Jamiroquai at Jamline some time ago... I always wanted to ask you, if you could copy and paste it into this thread, because I really liked it ....you absolutely wrote what I had in my mind. It's a pity that the best comments at Jamline are disappearing somewhere in my mailbox. What do you think?
Cheers,

I'm getting curious and wonder what you wrote on the Jamline Ezbe.

Oh lordy!
GUESS WHAT?! My stupid monitor decided to burn out a couple of weekends ago...! Yeah, I have so much luck with computers... Back to using my mate's laptop, grrrrr.
Anyway, I will find it (if I can) and paste it here.

Subject: Jamiroquai 10 years on
So, here we are. Ten years after the Acid Jazz scene was stirred up by a young street wise kid and his many friends and contacts. Ten years after a single was released that made a bold statement about our world and how we treat it. Ten years after a project that was to start a career that has covered 5 huge internationally acclaimed albums, hunderds of brilliant gigs, many more appearances, women, vodka, weed, cars, arguments, videos, big mansions in the country, more women, band member walkouts, photographers, september 11th, Adidas Trainers, more weed and all those "Stevie Wonder/Twat In The Hat" articles... What have we got?
Well, I think the spirit or vibe of Jamiroquai is still there, even if the message has changed. Jay Kay is older, maybe wiser, maybe more cynical because of his experiences. Sometimes he infuriates me, sometimes he makes me realise what music is made for.
I miss the old band members, but also welcome and embrace the new ones. I miss the old sound, but also welcome and embrace the future of Jamiroquai's music. The record company may have sucked some of the soul out of what Jami do, but they still manage to surprise us with what they can produce.
The media are still as cold and unimpressed generally by Jamiroquai as they have been for about 8 years. No loss, it's a matter of personal taste versus what the media think we should like.
Jamiroquai is more Jay Kay than ever, but will always be a band in our hearts. They are still one of the best live bands this country has produced, one of the biggest selling British bands in the world of this past decade. The fans are closer to the band. The fan base is a good mix of die hard old skoolers and people who have been introduced to Jami by a later album and have become just as fanatical.
Best of all, we still have Jamiroquai. And if things continue to improve and diversify, they will be around for many more years to come. Who, of any of us, thought when they heard that song on the radio asking "When you gonna learn to stop it going on?", that the same guy would be even bigger and still working in ten years' time? Long Live Jamiroquai!
