My Promote Jamiroquai Campaign
Does anyone here think that Jamiroquai need a street team? Right now I have been working as a one-woman street team to try and promote JMQ by doing stuff like writing letters to music magazine and TV channels, making their CDs and DVD nice and prominant in music shops (IE putting AFO in the number one place on the wall) and playing thier music everywhere. Simply because they have absolutly no publicity over here.
Is it like that in your country? If so, we should start an unofficial JMQ street team. Or something.

hey thats pretty mad idea actually... getting all the jamiroquai cds and putting them in the top10 section and where the top40 singles should bbe hhaah.. madness!id love to get some jamiroquai or buffalo man stickers and plaster them everywhere! |

I printed out all these things that say "PROMOTE JAMIROQUAI" and stuck them all through the girls toilets at school.

Your idea is great miss sparkles!!! I can't tell you if it's the same in my country because I live in a quite... I don't know if isolated city, but it's much more difficult for me to buy or get Jamiroquai stuff. In fact, I can only get the 5 cds here and really expensive (it took 3 years for me to buy them all original  ). But I'm sure Diego (who lives nearer Capital Federal or funkynic or Synkronized sparks or Jamirobruno maybe) can tell you with more details about this situation in Argentina. In my city, the band is something completely unknown, it took me 3 years to make my friends and all the people I know pronounce JAMIROQUAI well, and most of them still find it a difficult job  . Perhaps they'll change their minds with the next album... let's hope so...

That is a fantastic idea!!! I was actually thinking about going to 2 of my local used/new CD stores and talking up the 6th album and seeing if they could get any promotional stuff to put in the stores. I think they can contact their distributors and request the promo posters and things. Everyone should try it! I was also going to do something with my car so everyone will know the new album is coming out. Maybe I'll make a bumper sticker that says:"Remember Jamiroquai? New album June 21st"
Yea, that'll rock. Jamirofan, Jaminneapolis and any other US fans could help out too.

Today I went to my local music shop and told them about the 6th album, and told them they should get in promo posters and whatnot before other stores. I think they thought I was a bit mad. However it might work.

Beena,
I probably will make up a poster or borrow either Jamirofan's promo designs or Miss Sparkles? If either of you guys could send them to pmayjr@hotmail.com I'd be glad to print some up and go to town on them. Jamirofan has done his part though Beena. He's shown me a few of his designs and said he'd already distributed some.
Eventhough we're from the U.S., we all seem to represent a different part. Beena, you're from PA. I seem to be the only midwest guy who posts on here. Brent is from the D.C. area. Tahoe and JGrizz are from Cali. Supersonic and Freddie HG are in the Northeast. If we all do our part and get some others to help maybe we could make an impact. What would help most of all would be a hit single, and some damn airplay lol!!!!
