The Funkin Site has a new look!!!
Hello,
About 30 seconds ago, David Rowe flipped the switch on a new template look for the Funkin Site that looks like it was channeled directly from the new Official Site . Really nice and cool looking, take a nice long gander at:
http://www.funkin.com
Congrats on the new template David, looks really "Dynamite" and "Feels Just Like It Should"...hehe ! Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

Hello Jamirotalkers,
Wow, really impressive. Looks good, but after all this years, I'm gonna miss the simple old style of the site!
There's also an update on the new single here
Great David, you're getting big

Thanks Diego. I've tried to keep it in a vaguely similar style to before - ie., lots of text and not many images, but I'm so used to seeing this design now I'm almost fed up with it!

Yeah, I'd best get that added to the list of recent updates.
Thanks for all the support and news you guys and gals give to the site. Take care.
David
PS. Time for me to have a well earned drink |

i like it , to don't be always the same , it looks preaty nice , for me is much more "clean" .
The path to information and the navigation is much more easy , well at least is what i tink.
Nice work David the design isn't so "fashion" but the site continue with the most more important _________________ hooked up |

at first I had the same feeling
..anyway..new design is really great, standards are completely met, a very good piece of html. Colours are Dynamite-like...what else we could ask?
this site has a big space in my heart, for two years it was my only source for jamiroquai releated news. Gotta love it! _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here... |

The new funkin site design is great and most of all navigation is so comfortable now, the site is very quick and everywhere are interesting links, so you can get your informations as quick and complete as possible.
It has always been my home site for information during the last years. Great Job of David and Sharon
Nowadays it might seem strange on first view to have no flood of pics and animations when you check a site. But that turns out often annoying, if you want to get quick results. Just compare the official site. It takes me times and times until the buffalo man rises up, the bubbles appear, to turn off the repeating music and get to the news section...or somewhere else.
Let's make a toast to funkin.com _________________

Im not gonna comment on the ergonomy of the site, navigation, content and all that because that's all world class since long ago. But, I still am gonna critisize the design. Im not saying that its ugly or no good, 'cause it is, but i simply think that the Jamiroquai site should be funky, cheerful, if you know what i mean, rather than all squares like now.
I hope i helped atleast a little bit !! |

That's a very fair point. I must admit I did start looking/thinking about some curves on the boxes on the right hand column - there's some great little CSS/Javascript code that's recently appeared online (http://pro.html.it/esempio/nifty/) and maybe I'll have a think about trying some of it out..
Thanks for the comments so far - as long as they are constructive, I'll listen |
