Just was at the official forum and i must say it's total chaos. It seems very very hard to moderate. It's not as structured as this forum. |

Well, it's more than just a chaos... it's a disaster!
And it's not hard to moderate, there's just no moderator at all! And with the forum in this state, nobody even wants to moderate I think... _________________

Consider: Jamirotalk has had time to grow and develop slowly.
First I could manage it alone with my husband. Later a team has been found to manage the rising activity.
The new official forum opend its doors and immediately there were hundreds of users who still have to learn how to use such a structured forum.
Jamirotalk was born out of a need. J.Talk had been crap and I thought we fans needed something more professional. Imagine the new forum had the same level as this one now... would Jamirotalk be dispensable then?
.....
I have plans to involve more fans with the background work at jamirotalk in the future... I will let you know more soon. Watch the Forum Info & Help section for some future jobs...

Here you said it all: you started small; the official forum is overloaded from the beginning.
And KrissKross, there is a moderator on the official forum, David does I guess. And maybe his wife helps him. But it is impossible running a forum like that (with a lot of newbies and people who pass by) with two people. |
