Yeah, you're right. Watched all the vids a few times, but couldn't find a real caracter. But being the only caracter makes the Candy Man the worst too  |

does anyone else think 'the candyman' might be a pimp?
judging from the fact Jay is chasing a girl all over town, along with some of the lines;
'i want to get experience,'
'i'm going on laser beam... to shoot some cherries down'
'i need a little sugar n' spice, i know i found her number'
'i'm looking for a fancy chick'
'i wanna lick you up and down... she said it would feel that good and it does'
'sugar spice, i want you, a sexy girl, slips in, feels good...'
there are other lines, back street... city lights... that could be about either prostitutes or drugs, but the impression i got was it was from the viewpoint of some kid who just wants sex and rather than wait to meet a girl he's giving in to the temptation of a pimp (the candyman). for those that haven't got english as a first language, 'cherry' is a slang term for virginity.
the HELL sign on the elevator and cool Jay turning into geeky Jay is just symbolising how it can ruin your life. |

for me the candyman is a pimp AND a drug dealer. maybe the drugs distort the viewing of jay.

The candyman is definately a pimp. You just have to watch the video, there's nothing drug related in it. Between, remember 50cent's candyshop which is a brothel. |
