What a bad thing for their reputation... Do u really think that this is music ????? Anyway, it's obvious that some peoplehave to like it, as for me it's completely crap, for other this is the bezt ever thing the did in 13 years

Opinions are opinions man... there are no absolutes... we all have high expectations on jamiroquai's new material because of the amazing music they have done in the past... this album may not be better than the first 3 but it's definitively no crap

Which "version" of Seven Days do you guys prefer: the slightly sped up Capital FM version, or the official normal one, which can be heard as part of the samples? I prefer the sped up version Confused

but the other tracks are all amazing! I really loved Time won't wait.... by now i have listened those 30 seconds like 3168198717 times.... unbelievable...

My favorite right now has to be Love Blind. For some reason, I like the abruptness of the track. I can see this track gaining a following in America.

think it's a panpipe in Talulah, the sax I missed in the tracks

Yes, it's a panpipe in the beginning of Talulah but there's sax in the middle and after that.
I made a little sample:

Hi!
How much did you pay for one song when you downloaded it ?
8.90 kr (€ 8.90) ?
At least that seems to be the price they mention on the CDON.COM site.
Isn´t that a bit expensive ?
This can´t be the true price for one song, can it .
I wanna download "Love Blind" !
I love it ( at least the bits I know from the sample) Smile

One song is 0.99 euros on cdon.com and the entire album 9.90€.

Best one so far ? ? ? ? Shocked Shocked Shocked
LOOOOL... hahahahahaha

Oh yeah Jamirokaki, u're completely right, they always went to top of the pop, I couldn't remember that because when they used to perform there years ago, it was like : "WOW this band, Jamiorquai, is amazing !!!" while now it's just "OH MY GOD !! I love Jay Kay !!! He is God !!! wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu !!!!"

Of course I'm pleased to listen to the sample as I'm waiting for the album release, and some stuff is quiet interesting and sound good (Time won't wait, Starchild, 7DISJ, Give hate a chance), my opinion is that it's better than AFO (yeah... difficult to do worst actually Sad ) but still very far from what they could do 5 years ago... If I used to love all the songs included in the 3 first albums, now I have to go ahead while listening to the cd and pass some songs that just make me feel like if it's another band who plays Sad No need to talk about Jay's voice effects on the new album... I saw a topic about Justin Timberlake where some people say he's trying to copy Jay Kay but with those effects actually Jay's similar to Justin lol

At least, they got rid of Nick Fyffe which can be only positive, let's hope next one will be Rob Harris, I cannot cope with his bloody guitar anymore ! He put it everywhere. Damn, doesn't he have any respect for the rest of the band or what ?? WTF I don't know where to find the new album, will it be in the ROCK section ???

Bye to everyone Smile
Chris

Christophe:),

Wow! I could not agree with you more about most everything you said! This album will be better than AFO and Rob Harris is good but there is just too bloody much of him EVERYWHERE! I don't know what the bleeding problem was with Simon Katz, he was GREAT in my opinion. However, I have seen you and others talk about displeasure with Nick Fyfe. I personally thought he was good (he's no Stu!) but I thought he did very well. However, I don't have a good ear for bass anyway, but I am EXTREMELY impressed with the bassline on "Give Hate A Chance". Anyway, just wanted to let you know Chritophe that I hear what you're saying!

damn!! what hard times for me!!!
i guess i am the only one who decided not to listen to the samples
because i want to enjoy the moment i hear full tracks for the first time from real cd. if somebody gave me such link 3 months ago,
i would check them with speed of sound without even thinking
but now there's only 20 days left!! i think i'll wait .
i only read your comments, and you say its even better than AFO
which is so cool!!!! jamirokaki said its very much in
late night tales tracks style, and it has a lot of disco tracks...
this is amazing, this is what i wanted so much!!!!!! what can i say, we'll have a brilliant summer this year. Razz Razz Razz Razz Razz

Well, u know what I didn't like with Fyffe ? His lack of personality... not in his way of playing, but on the stage, he was still looking at Jay Kay, like if he needed some approvation while playing while Stu and Paul Turner (now) just play without paying attention only at Jay and do their job for sure !! Stu was as important as Jay in the Jamiroquai early days, because he was a reference for people, I mean when u look at some old stuff u just think, wow, those men are great, look at this freacky bassist and that cat jumping around the stage like an indian !! Not a case if Jamiroquai is not anymore a band but just Jay Kay ! On the AFO album, Jay didn't even thanks the rest of the band mambers (like he always did in the precedent albums) he just thanked Rob Harris !!! Anyway, I think Paul will be a warranty for the band. Don't forget that Jamiroquai is a band, not a single person, and infact, as so many musicians left, the music quality level has decreased a lot ! And I really don't think it's because Jay doesn't have inspiration anymore but just because time ago, the songs were written by the whole band while now Jay put his voice on a synthetizer and 4 years after he use it to do a single (FJLIS) I mean, that makes no sense for me.
Regarding Rob, he definitely is a brilliant guitarist, but don't fit at all with Acid Jazz or funk stuff, he is a rocker and do some amazing rock solo (on Jamiroquai songs Crying or Very sad) Listen carefully to Love Blind sample, what the hell is that guitar riff at the beginning !? Sad Simon Katz is a pure funky guitarist and has the capability of playing without covering the other musicians with stupid riffs or solo, he just put the right riffs at the right moment... but anyway, Jay decided what to do now on the tracks so I guess he asks Rob to play in that way.
And also I don't like the background vocals ! Bloody hell ! If you have to spend money for 3 bloody vocalist, why don't u take 3 brass instead ??!! Those tracks would have an amazing sound with some brass on them, that's for sure !! I really don't understand why Jay keep on going with those vocalist Rolling Eyes
Anyway, the fact that I say those things doesn't mean I won't buy the album or listen to their stuff, Jamiroquai has been too important for me in the past years, they brough me a lot and I'll keep on loving them for what they did in the past...

Peace to everyone
Chris

I've already listened to the samples like 1000 times and I say i'm very positive about the album:

Arrow Great basslines...this is gonna be a great bass album
Arrow Rob's job is fantastic and brings a great flavour to the songs
Arrow From what I've heard Derrick's drumming seems to be better than on the 2 previous albums(he's great on FJLIS)
Arrow Versatility, lots of flavours and influences - it shows the recording in other countries
Arrow I think the overall quality(production values, vocals) is better than any other album from Jamiroquai(I'm not saying it's their best or my favourite just saying it seems the more polished)

The best thing about Jamiroquai is that they can do a range of different styles without losing quality: which band in the world could do Manifest Destiny, then Deeper Underground? King for a day and then Twenty Zero One?
This is why we are so passionate about Jamiroquai...they can always get our attention even if we bitch about the songs, they constantly surprise us and that's a talent not many artists have!

Peace

Time Won't Wait and Give hate a chance are amazinggggggggg!

so what? if girlies are now amazed by Jay and not about bands music is their problem, nothing to do with bands music, but those people scraming about Jay
.....
in fact, it's a different band who is playing, that's why you feel that
....
about Nick and Rob thing, as said it's another bandmemers so their style is their style, i also prefer not to hear guitar everywhere and i don't like Matts playing but that doesn't means is shit.
.....
about music section, you couldn't imagine where i found jami albums in the past (jazz, disco, pop....)
