I just downloaded the whole album. So here is my first thoughts about it....
This Album is better than AFO, but it is not as good as EOPE or ROTSC, but I didn't had that much hope that it would be.
And those backgroundsingers... please get rid of them and get at least Wallis back.
And Jay isn't singing as good as he used to do, but I expected worse than this after hearing those new livetracks.
Favouritesong right now is Seven days in june and Give hate a chance.
Most of the songs are kind of similar. I think they could have skipped World that he wants.. Since Jay isn't singing as good as he probably wants to... Stevie wonder would probably make this song much much more better with his voice.
Talullah is the lovesong for this album. compared to Half the man this song is a joke...but when you dont think of it... it is a normal nice song...but nothing more. |

damn!! what hard times for me!!!
i guess i am the only one who decided not to listen to the samples
because i want to enjoy the moment i hear full tracks for the first time from real cd. if somebody gave me such link 3 months ago,
i would check them with speed of sound without even thinking
but now there's only 20 days left!! i think i'll wait .
i only read your comments, and you say its even better than AFO
which is so cool!!!! jamirokaki said its very much in
late night tales tracks style, and it has a lot of disco tracks...
this is amazing, this is what i wanted so much!!!!!! what can i say, we'll have a brilliant summer this year. |
I downloaded and listened to the samples ONCE, but I feel a little bit guilty to myself, because I promised myself that I would wait (after I heard FJLIS) till the album came out.
I know, because in the Synkronized-aera, there were samples as well, before the album came out. I listened to them over and over again. Then I bought the album and I was a little bit dissappointed, because I spoiled the fun by listening to the samples.
I'm glad that I read your post, because now I'm going to wait (that means not listen to the samples again), because there's nothing better than buying an album you've never listened before and getting surprised and excited.
Thanks High Times!

heres what i think, i heard them before this but these are of better quailty
1. FJLIS - i love this song, its such a good one, put it in the car and crank up the sound, its class
2. Dynamite - a classic disco tune, especially with odd guitar flicks in the song, dark and mysterious
3. SDISJ - Summer song, sittling in the long grass, classic.
4. Electric Mistress -I like this especially the ending parts nice bass
5. Star Child - funky and fresh, much like you give me something type of song.
6. Love Blind - this is a strange one, not like anything before but it works, its heavier but with classic jami touches
7. Talulah - Early jamiroquai, what we have been waiting for !
8. Give Hate A Chance - i not to sure with this one, but t reminds me of Main vein, which took me a while to get into
9. World He Wants - Picture of my life song, a expression of jay, which we will never understand
10. Black Devil Car - dont like this one, its bit cheezy for me, sounds like it was knocked up in a few mins,
11. Hot Tequila Brown - god i wish i was there when he wrote the lyrics for this song, its different but really good
12. Time Won't Wait - Classic disco, reminds me of Skyy or dexter wansel songs _________________ "Whats your religion" the man asked

Hello,
Hmmm...great samples and snippets of Dynamite, "Time Won't Wait" really should have been a "album track" ! Very interesting, this could count as the second leak of new Jamiroquai stuff for a price. So it's for a 89 Kroner pay download? (Does the mental currency calculation and comes up with $14 in American money). But I agree with Mouse, if everyone whom pay downloaded (With luck!) the album shares it with everyone, then that increases the chances of piracy, which I wouldn't want to see happen to this great album. So, be patient, only 3 weeks away from Dynamite! Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,

What the hell is "German Angst"? I didn't know Germans were afraid of something special. I'm not german, but I live 20 kilometers from the german border, I used to go out with a german woman for two years, I studied for a while in Germany and I never had the impression they were afraid of something special.
