Is this some kind of joke?

I can't believe how much praise this album is receiving. I have all the tracks as MP3... yet I am considering deleting them all because I would rather have the free space on my hard drive!

How can this even be compared to the first 3 albums??

I mean, HOT TEQUILA BROWN??? WTF???

And Black Devil Car? It's defenitely quirky... yet just when you're getting into the tune the middle section HITS you in the face and makes you want to vomit. Sunny Day in June is probably the ONLY listenable track on this album.

Are you guys really such fanboys that you'll swallow ANY trash JK puts out there?

Don't get me wrong guys, Jamiroquai have been my FAVOURITE band since 1993... but come on... Synkronized? AFO? Can you tell me that any of the tracks off these albums compare to anything found on EOPE, ROTSC and TWM?

Soul Eductation? Stop Don't Panic? Rubbish!

This album is another let down from what was once one of the funkiest bands on earth.

I think you guys have come so far down the road as Jamiroquai fans that you NEED to convince yourself that this stuff is good JUST so you don't feel cheated.

Soul Education rubbish? Ok, YOU are joking right? Rolling Eyes

But in the end of the day it's your opinion. I thought half of AFO was unlistenable but this album is such an improvement it really does deserve the praise it's been getting. If you can't admit this, well I guess your music taste has changed, in which case, it doesn't really achieve much by slagging of ppl who do like this music, does it sir?

yeah! I agree 100% The cover relates too much with FJLIS which I'm delighted to know is not the direction of the album!

i think this had happen on me with some stuff on AFO and synk as with feel so good or supersonic, songs that i'll not like if they werent from jamiroquai, don't talk about getinfunky, but at the end, i found the things on them to appreciate them.
but this time, i really like the songs on dynamite really, if i weren't into this kind of music i'll be catched anyway as happened to me with TWM (when i knew jami for first time and catched me forever)
i really think this album is great.objectively.

I totally agree with all the positive reviews. Dynamite is a classic Jamiroquai record, which probably should have been the fourth album. I like Synkronized and AFO, but they're a little bleak albums compared to the other four. And Dynamite is so funny and funky! I love the two breaks in Loveblind (the jazzy one) and Black Devil Car (the lullaby). I still can't stop laughing! They must have made so much fun while recording this album. All the bandmembers made a significant contribution and actually I like the more prominent role of the background singers. It adds an extra layer the overall sound. In my opinion FJLIS is the weakest song, from than on it's pure good vibes. My only regret is the lack of an instrumental song... But hey, you can't have it all. Jay and the crew just made my summer, which is normally a hard thing to do in rainy Holland...

oops! I don't know why i forgot to review it as it's one of my favourites! just for you jamirokaki here is my little review Wink

(Don't) Give Hate a Chance Superman lovers anybody? Only joking, this is much more clever than that smash hit with the funny video! I can only describe this as a serious feel good song, in the same sort of vibe Canned Heat gave us. As we heard in the sample there is some seriously funky bass playing on this track that is a delight to hear. This song overall typifies what JMQ sound like in 2005, it's really noticable how tight it sounds as well despite feeling really large and spacious, which you have to give credit to the production team. This is most certainly going to be a single, well, it had better be! But what I cannot wait for is to hear this song live. My only critism is the start of the song, it's just a little bit too weak for the song as a whole, but this is only applicable because the rest of the song is so strong! Again, as is evident in the rest of the album, the interaction between Jay and the backing singers is again great and it really adds to the richness of this song. Overall, it's great, one of my favourites right now. Smile

AYE HAPPYDUDE

Mate I dont know whats wrong with you.

If you have nothing positive to say then dont post it because we dont want to hear it. If you disapprove of the album give us reasons why. Obviously there will always be people critisizing the album as there is with every album but dont just say the songs are rubbish and you want to delete them because they take up space.

The band worked hard for 4 years to bring this out, give them some respect. I urge everyone to disregard POOFDUDES aka (HAPPYDUDES) previous post.

GoodVibes Opinions
whoa aint logged in here in a few days and come back to find all these reviews.

Well i wont give one, as im sure as some people are sick of reading them so i'll keep it short and sweet

1. I think the lyrics have gone down hill since certain members left the band.

2. I think Jamiroquai are more funky then ever, i became a true fan when AFO came out, and then bought all the other albums after that so i suppose ive got a different point of view to other people

3. Personally i love the "Rock" element to it, as i like that sort of music, the like of Stereophonics, Oasis etc

4.I dont think people should compare songs like Talulah to the likes of Everday, as i dont think you can as they are made for a certain era of music. When you listen to EOPE it sounds outdated, but its still amazing dont get me wrong, but would it sell in this day and age???

I think the album is great, not perfect, songs like World he Wants, and Hot Tequila Brown have yet to warm to me but i'll give them a chance, but id buy the album if you aint heard it yet. I agree with David Rowe its certainly the Funkiest album, maybe not the best too some people, but it mixes Disco, Funk, Jazz and Rock elements which somehow seem to work

Finally i think this could album could give some great live performances, due to the funky tunes

it should be another reason that the other members of the band left,as lyrics are always Jay's.

Well if they were always jay's then he has either slacked off and isn't writing as good as he used to.....but surely other members had a influence on the lyrics, when you look at ROTSC the songs are mainly written by Zender, Smith and Kay which im pretty sure they all put there effort in to writing the song and the lyrics

Dont get me wrong they are quite good in some songs, like in Talulah i think they are great, BDC i love the song when i first heard it i thought hmmmm a bit cheesy but they have grown on me

I kinda agree with you on this point really, the lyrics are less good then the peak we had with TWM.

But Toby had nothing to do with the lyrics, that I am sure about having seen that Fanatic interview Very Happy Very Happy

Ed will kill you for this LOL

I'm so happy to read all these reviews! It seems to be a great album, and I think AFO will leave Dynamite the first position in my own JMQ albums chart Very Happy

First off mate I am as entitled to my opinion as much as anybody else.

I have supported this band for 13 years and I feel like I have been seriously let down by everything they have released since TWM. How dare you tell me what I can and can't post. Just because I don't swallow the same propaganda you feed each other doesn't entitle you to dismiss my opinion.

As for respect? Well, I have waited four years while Jay kicked his drug habit (that we have helped fund) only to hear this trash.

And mate; you wouldn't know the meaning of the word with your juvenille "poofdudes" comment. Grow up.
