THE DORRS! -.. beatles, stones??
OOOOOHH wow! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

About 20 minutes ago I saw a liveshow af the dorrs, with no fans, no audience- just the group on stage. It was awesome. So intence, and so mysterious! From 1968 in Denmark. Of course 'When the music dies' and 'Soldier' were played, and I don't remember the 3 rest.

I don't think Jim Morrison was that stoned or on something acsit shit, but he definately had me stearing into his eyes and analysing you know every little move.. Surprised
-- He captured the camera and focused on the singing and screaming on the same time.. Shocked heh -It was soo crazy and weird on the same time. So good! Cool

Do you too, love these fantastic 60's goups?? Beatles, Stones, the dorrs,- you name it, let me know, and tell me about your feelings- exspiriences, impressions!!
Very Happy

hehe,- I must be stoned not knowing that!
It was just soo calm to see the show..- on the same time as weird.
Just like their music, which was of course through every instrument and not least Jim's songwriting - infected by those weird experiences they've had.. Shocked

CREAM CREAM CREAM AND UMMM.....CREAM!!!!
Clapton, Bruce and Baker...they preceded everyone...and they are the best...
but if you really insist, put in some Jimi Hendrix Experience, Grand Funk Railroad.....Power trios are the best!!

Speaking of the Beatles..thought some of you might dig this info or not Wink

http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/news/42661-postal-service-flaming-lips-spektor-cover-lennon

Postal Service, Flaming Lips, Spektor Cover Lennon

Instant karma's gonna getcha; provided, that is, you plop down some dough on Instant Karma, a 21-track CD of John Lennon covers performed by some of your favorite artists (and, uh, Jack Johnson) with proceeds headed straight to Amnesty International's campaign to save Darfur.

Pitchfork faves the Flaming Lips, R.E.M., Big & Rich, the Postal Service, and Regina Spektor have donated tracks to the disc, while the likes of Willie Nelson, Duran Duran, and Ozzy Osbourne will offer up tracks for digital download. Also, Avril does "Imagine"; for some, a punchline, for others, manna from heaven.

Instant Karma: The Amnesty International Campaign to Save Darfur arrives June 12 via Warner Bros. And yes, some of these covers have been in the ether for a while, but hey, good cause!

Instant Karma:

Disc 1:

01 U2 - "Instant Karma"
02 R.E.M. - "#9 Dream"
03 Christina Aguilera - "Mother"
04 Aerosmith - "Give Peace a Chance"
05 Lenny Kravitz - "Cold Turkey"
06 Los Lonely Boys - "Whatever Gets You Through the Night"
07 Corinne Bailey Rae - "I'm Losing You"
08 Jakob Dylan [ft. Dhani Harrison] - "Gimme Some Truth"
09 Jackson Browne - "Oh My Love"
10 Big & Rich - "Nobody Told Me"

Disc 2:

01 Green Day - "Working Class Hero"
02 Black Eyed Peas - "Power to the People"
03 Jack Johnson - "Imagine"
04 Snow Patrol - "Isolation"
05 Matisyahu - "Watching the Wheels"
06 Ben Harper - "Beautiful Boy"
07 Postal Service - "Grow Old With Me"
08 Jaguares - "Gimme Some Truth"
09 Avril Lavigne - "Imagine"
10 The Flaming Lips - "(Just Like) Starting Over"
11 Regina Spektor - "Real Love"
