I'm realizing we will never get the old Jamiroquai back, the real musicians with a message. I know you guys are all really excited for the album, as was I, but I am pretty disappointed.

Jay is doing a respectable job of at least trying to capture some of the old style in a few of the songs. Stop looking back at the past, Dynamite rocks, and Dynamite is the future Very Happy I'm trying to type this out but 'Starchild' is distracting me with it's brilliance!

And 'Happy Dude' (is that name intended to be ironic?), if you're such an old school hardcore fan and have been sick of the bands music for 7 years, then don't you think it's time you found another band that might come close to satisfying your impossibly high standards? I don't care if you found about about the band in 1993 or 2003 to be honest. If you were actually expecting a picture perfect album style of 'EOPE' or 'ROTSC' then you're more dillusional than I thought possible.

If you can find it in your cold heart, try and look for the good points in the album, you don't have to love it, but as a fan I'm sure you'll find the album really isn't bad at all.

dude — i don't want to offend... but THREE TRACKS?

3 out of 12? 25%?

So we wait 4 years for an album that's 25% good?

Would you have got through school if your grades were 25%?

Would you keep your JOB if you were only 25% productive?

We give Jay money and he snorts coke and buys Ferarris... and he's only 25% efficient at his job!

I would say, "JK... YOU'RE FIRED!"...

TWENTY-FIVE-FRICKIN-PERCENT people!

and I hear people saying ALBUM OF THE YEAR?? wtf?

"Not so" Happy Dude

Moonshooter you have made my point for me.

It's that we all have to "try and look for the good points in the album". We're all trying so hard to convince ourselves that it's great. I have tried myself.

We never used to have to try!

Well I personally don't have to look for the good points, but I was instead trying to help you at least see something good about it. As if my own feelings weren't enough I've got plently of JamiroTalkers to prove how much this album is appreciated!

Do u really think this is a respectable job ? this is neither acceptable... u guys have changed your taste about music and not the contrary as I read in the topic, and that's why you find it good. Dynamite rocks mate, u're right... I didn't expect Jamiroquai to become a rock band...

Actually the guy is not saying he was waiting for EOPE or ROTSC, but just that the album is not good in comparison with those...

I tried too mate but nothing to do, the album is really bad ! the good points of the album are in 3 tracks. Being a Jamiroquai fan doesn't mean you have to accept everything they do also if it's crap, how can you all say Dynamite is better than TWM or ROTSC ?? Am I dreaming or what ? Did u carefully listen to those album ? Can you hear some gunshots on them ? or Jay singing UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU running around... Those albums are musically perfect, they are really complex and sounds perfect ! I read someone saying that Dynamite is mixed, produced and sounds better thatn TWM ? Ok for auto-convincing but don't be ridiculous...

PS : Sorry, I said my precedent post was the last one but I couldn't resist as I read some stuff very... ... ...

Well I'm sorry you feel that way. Maybe someday Jamiroquai might to do something that comes close to pleasing you.

Jamiroquai used to do something that please me, and even more than please... but they won't do it again and that's for sure. No problem about that, we already knew it...
Cheers

It's honestly not worth a purchase..the songs aren't gonna be any better after I spend 16 dollars on the album. Or maybe they will since I'll want my money's worth. I'll force myself to like the album like everyone else on here Wink

We all respect your opinion not to like the album...now respect our opinion to enjoy it. I'm sorry that it isn't what you guys want, but why is it that the few that dislike the sound of Dynamite are the most vocal about their displeasure? 3-4 voices seem to always be complaining/starting fights. If you don't like it, we probably already know where you stand, so there's no reason to fight with other members...pleasure is subjective.
