Sarah's plans for Jay Kay
Hi,
Just read about this in the Sun:
" SARAH WHATMORE has been talking to JAMIROQUAIs JAY KAY about recording a duet.
Sarah told me: Working with Jay would be amazing. He is a superb performer with a great voice.
Meanwhile, Sarah appeared on CD:UK at the weekend to sing her second single Automatic, released on February 10.
She said: Its a bit dancey and hopefully will do well
And you can watch the sexy video by going to www.thesun.co.uk/jukebox. "
So, there you go, think we might see something come out of this? What do you think?
Take care,
Serge |

Come of it........musically? That would be nice. I enjoy the music produced with other people (like I'm in the Mood For Love with Jools Holland). It's a break from the cosmic vibes of the band's music. I dig it all.
She's pretty.....are you implying that Sarah and Jay might start dating? |

I've never heard of her. Is she another "Superstar" contest winner?
Or is she popular in UK??
I don't know if she makes the kind of music Jay likes but she looks like she could be his type of girl
So maybe not a duet but a date ?

Yeah, I like that sort of thing too. It's nice to listen to stuff like that.

When I originally posted, the thought hadn't crossed my mind, but after reading your and Butterfly in June's comments I think there is a possibility of that. But some weeks ago I read an article about Jay (I think it was after the Lord Of The Rings premiere) where he said that he had enough of women (but then went on to say that if one turned up dressed in a Santa outfit with red stockings he would reconsider) But we know that Jay has said things like that before, so take it "with a pinch of salt".
To be honest with you, Butterfly in June, I haven't heard a lot about her either (but I have been listening to little else than Jamiroquai lately) so maybe she is QUITE popular, (but in my opinion not EXTREMELY popular because I would know about her then) She isn't a "Superstar" winner because here in the UK we haven't had a contest since "Popstars The Rivals" and "Fame Academy" (thank God, I hate them)
Well, what ever comes of it, lets hope that it's something good, musically or otherwise . I have to say that she doesn't look bad
BTW, Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud (girl winners of Popstars The Rivals) used to go to the same school as me and was even in some of my classes
Take care,
Serge |

Yes, let's wait and see. I doubt that Jay has enough of women - he always stresses that he's looking for Miss Right
BTW: My sister's neighbour knows someone whose friend knows the sister in law of the grandma of one girl who was in the "Big Brother House"
Have a nice day

Yes Serge I was a bit ironic.. I hope you don't mind (Serge seems to be a French name - or am I wrong with that??)
It must be somewhat funny to know someone from school - and then see them on TV My sister had a boyfriend in school and he is now the drummer of a rather popular band here in Germany - thats funny too!

Hi,
I've just had a very quick look for any details about her. Her official website is http://www.sarahwhatmore.com/. Here's some more info about her:
" Sarah was the lucky young Britney-look-a-like who made it through the Pop Idol auditions, only to then get beaten in one of the heats by Rik Waller, Darius Danesh and Aaron Bayley.
However, the curvy blonde beauty wasn't down for long because, within a week of dipping out of the competition, Simon Cowell controversially snapped her up (three-months before Pop Idol's official winner was announced, in fact) with the intention of turning her in the UK's answer to Kylie Minogue.
And with When I Lost You, Cowell has done just that. Well, almost. Rumoured to be a track that was originally set to appear on the Aussie pop princess's Fever album, the Rob "...Out Of My Head" Davis-penned song is the kind of dance extravaganza you'd expect the pop pixie to be chirping along too.
Although the track relies more on developing a groove than it does on melody, it'll take a couple of listens before the repetitive, almost hypnotic chorus suddenly takes hold and you find that you really can't get the damn song out of your head.
Tougher and more contemporary than the likes of pop look-a-likes Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, it seems Sarah could be the saviour of homegrown dance music and give Miss Minogue a good run for her money, to boot. "
I haven't actually listened to her songs (apparently her new single Automatic will be out on the 10th Feb.) But I did hear somewhere that her songs were better than the songs of the winner of Pop Idol, Will Young. If this is true is a matter of opinion I suppose.
Butterfly in June-I don't mind at all that you were ironic . Yes, Serge seems a French name, but I'm not connected to France in any way...
Hope this info about Sarah helps some way. But after thinking, I am doubtful about Sarah and JK doing a duet. I mean she wasn't a close winner of Pop Idol, and hasn't had as much publicity as the winner. and I am not sure that JK would be interested (professionally/musically that it, if he would like to date her is another matter). But that is what I think and we can't be cartain about anything.

Yeah, I mean she was quiet and no-one knew anything about her singing, so it was kind of a surprise.
Take Care

Thanks Serge, now we know a bit more about her. But as you say its not very probably that Jay wants to sing with her. In many interviews he always said that he hates those "one hit wonders" and doesn't see them as serious musicians or singers.
But let's see ... you never know |
