FJLIS Single: 3rd Version of FJLIS?!?
Hello,
I was happy to get my copy of the CD1 of the FJLIS Import single today at Tower Records, after listening to it, it sounds like JK has surprised us again with a 3rd version variation of "FJLIS" . Much like what happened back in March 2005 with the leaked version differing from the unleaked version played on British Radio, this new "Single Album Version" has yet more added synth and effects and is 1 minute longer than the original versions. Here are where the new changes occur:
*FJLIS 3rd Version: Album Version Additions*
~New time length: 4:43~
- From 14 to 17 seconds a added repeat of the vocalizer melody
- From 2:30 to 2:41 a new set of synth effects
- Throughout the song, higher pitched keys effects
- Finally, from 4:01 to 4:43 ending fade, added "Oh" vocalizer synth
This is very interesting that they would alter a first single like FJLIS so many darn times. I wonder if we will hear yet ANOTHER new variation of FJLIS on the album...hehe. Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,

Hello again,
Hmm well, let me look, the Numbers that are on the Obi-strip of my CD1 Single are as follows to the right of the barcode:
- 675968 1. 6759681000. LC13989
Hope that helps Mtey, I'll try to get this version online soon as a sample so you can all hear the changes. Peace!
Sincerely,

Obi-strip So you have Japanese single?
I've looked in google for these numbers, but nothing appears.
Which record companies are under copyright? Besides Sony BMG? You know, like Sony Japan? |

It has been discussed many times that the album version is longer than the single-edit. So what is this mystic here? Of course this is the album version , and no surprise at all that it has some "extra" parts that aren't on the single Quite weird but nice sounding middle-part (that Timo Mass used very much in the remix). _________________ kite carrier (geuze)

Hello again,
No, Mtey, I got the CD1 UK Import FJLIS single, sorry for not pointing that out originally. Still I am pretty taken back about all these different versions of FJLIS, I know album versions always differ from the edits, but if this was the intended final version, then the 2 prior versions had to be edits. But you might notice that this "Album Version" doesn't go with the video version OR with the radio edits. Oh well, I still consider this a 3rd version. Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,

for me it's quite clear:
first two shorter version we heard are radio edits or video version normal and with the new middle, and this longer version is the album version.....no more mistery than that _________________

A bit the same way as Canned Heat has 3 versions. The shortest often played on radio, the middle duration version used in the video and the longest for the album. _________________ kite carrier (geuze)

Yes! This one is on the European release and I have to say: the new set of synth effects is amazing! And the part from 4:01 to 4:43 is great also! |

For me that part sounds quite strange. Don't know how to express in English, but it sounds quite of "unround". In Germany we would say kind of sounds like a "rolling egg" _________________
