One of Zakk's live poetry recitals. I think it was a B-Side on Evil Empire. _________________ --"Dance For the Freedom..." |

Hi there,
No that's not what I meant... mmm let me see how can I put this... Ermm.. I like good discussions that talk about the album, I think it has no sense saying "I like SDP", and on the next post someone says "how can you say that? SDP is great". And then "Come on, the song is crap"... and then it goes again and again trying to convince the other one how good or how bad is that song. That is the kind of discussions I don't see much importance. Know what I mean?

Yeh, I see what you're getting at but that wasn't the intention of the post. Just saying that Jamiroquai have lost my vote as my favourite band. It's ridiculous to see what they were, to what they are now. Please don't hate me, but they've sold out, and lost their value. I'm not saying 'I hate this' and 'I hate that' or at least that's not all I'm trying to do (it's hard for me not to say all this because I just plain hate the album) but you see my point. _________________ --"Dance For the Freedom..." |

In terms of a song I don't like from "Dynamite", I think the worst song on the album is FJLIS. I just haven't warmed up to the song, and after all this time I don';t think I will. But the rest of the album I do like a lot.
Evov,
I think the Rage Agianst the Machine song the people are speaking of
"Bullet in the Head" from their self-titled first album.
BULLET IN THE HEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD! BULLET IN THE HHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDD!
God damn that whole album just gets me amped! _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

I'm aware of Bullet In The Head, it isn't that track.

Not at all. Just pointing out my opinion on the whole matter. You should probably have read my previous messages instead of jumping to your high and mighty guns there _________________ --"Dance For the Freedom..." |

i think everyone has their right to point out their opinions regarding the album...even if it's a criticism...drunken funkster just expressing his frustration towards the jamiroquai new sound which i also found quite dissapointing....i haven't buy yet Dynamite and not that eager to get it since i am still traumatize with the worst-ever produced A Funk Odyssey...i personally hate most of the songs in AFO...the only track that i really can listen to is corner of the earth...i really love Jamiroquai...i think they're the most perfect band in the world...unique, funky, energetic..you named it...they got all the elements of being a great band in the 90s...but after stuart zender left...they seems to have lost their touch...no more of that unique phat funky bassline that distinct Jamiroquai sounds from others...and then Wallis, D-Zire and Simon Katz also left...but i still had hope since Toby was still around...but my hopes shattered when Toby also left the band...so i have no high hopes for Dynamite but i still going to buy it just for the collection...
well i maybe will like Dynamite if Jay bring some of the pre-AFO sounds in it or i probably will hate it so much if Dynamite is just an upgrade version of AFO...
it's a love&hate relationship but at least they're still kick ass when playing live... _________________ Selamat Pagi Dunia

yeh i totally agree with that
what is the case of having only good opinions about it???
if someone comes here to this forum and says that jamiroquai is the shit, they will be all happy, but if someone comes and say that the album is not as good as it is supposed to be, so the problems starts...
some people has good opinions about dynamite, some ones does not. we all need to express our feelings and comunicate what do we think about the new album, but we don't want to have our ass kicked if we say it's not as good as it is supposed to be. i think that all kind of comments about new album must be appreciated... even if they're not so good (as i used to say about dynamite, the difference is that i changed my point of view, and some crazy guys helped me to see that: Abou, funkynic, dyego...)
bye guys!! _________________ This is FunkEducation, supporting the 1992-1998 Jamiroquai!!

Myself and other hardcore fans were crushed when they heard this trash. It's just upsetting and nice to get out to someone, although the bulk of the people here like this crap. At least I still have 4 albums of amazing basslines to kill my time with. |

Yeh, Muzzander's got it in one. I mean, to be perfectly honest, I didn't really mind AFO but it got to me the whole band persona had changed. Dynamite...well, I don't know what it's supposed to be. At least AFO had something that I could relate to Jamiroquai, but Dynamite is a real let down to me. Anyway, it's cool that most of you out there understand. I still like Jamiroquai, just think they've lost what they were _________________ --"Dance For the Freedom..." |
