"FJLIS" Fan Parody Song (Found on Jamline)...
Hello,
I was browsing around Jamline (don't ask me why), and I found something a little funny. I found a FJLIS song parody that was written by some member named SamK, and here is what he wrote:
OK, inspired by Ezbe's suspicion that someone will attempt a pisstaking
cover version of FJLIS, by changing the lyrics... I've attempted a pisstaking
cover version of FJLIS, by changing the lyrics. Please bear in mind that this
was written in a matter of minutes, often with the first lines that came into my
head, and that as my best mate (who I was in a band with a few years back)
will testify, my REAL song lyrics are much better than this.
Anyway, here's my attempt at improving FJLIS by giving it more honest
lyrics. I hope you're amused by it. I call it...
Songs That Sound Like Shite (lyrics by Sam Kelly, anoying vocoder bass
effect by Jay Kay)
(and before you start, I KNOW FJLIS was written before Toby left the band,
but it's better this way)
I'm gonna make y'all worry
That all my talent's gone
I gave it to a man on the street.
See Toby played a huge part
Preventing me from writing cack
But now he's gone and I...
(Want to)
Write songs that are pants (yeah)
Songs that sound like shite (yeah)
Write songs that are pants
Songs no-one will like...
The album's got a cover,
A picture of me on the loo,
The same hat as last time,
I need to get a new sty-list,
At least the video's good,
The rest of the new stuff too,
But had to make you nervous,
And lead you to believe that we're...
(Chorus)
Writing songs that are pants (yeah)
Songs that sound like shite (yeah)
Writing songs that are pants
Songs no-one will like... (x2)
Now I'll rap
And try to sound
Like I'm, down with the kids,
Not going over old ground.
Had this idea, for a new song,
And when I sang it to the band they looked away and said...
"Jay, that sounds like crap! (ow-wow)
Can't you hear it's pap?"
So I said I'd sack
Them unless they let me write...
Songs that sound like shite
Songs that sound like shite
Songs that sound like shite (as crap as you feared it was)
Songs that sound like shite (but don't worry the rest's all good).
Hmm, well, I guess that would be mildly amusing, but what do you guys and gals think of it ? Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

I don't like it... obviously
I'm a Jamiroquai fan, and I don't have a sense of humour when it comes to other people making fun of them _________________

oh...well i thought humour sense was independent form the issue, you have or not the humour sense and then laugh of things or not, as for me, i laugh abaout everything, i don't have any tabu for having fun and laugh (excpet laugh about someone) but i don't feel this song is laughting about the band or jay, i don't think is a masterpiece of the humorous parody lyrics but i liked some parts... _________________

exactly... you're totally right...
that's why i laughed a lot... i liked it... but jamiroquai is still being my fav band... that doesn't matter at all... _________________ This is FunkEducation, supporting the 1992-1998 Jamiroquai!!
