August release for Seven Days In Sunny June
| Quote: |
Monday 04 July 2005, 14:33 (BST)
Jay was interviewed briefly on the BBC Radio 1 chart show on Sunday before he took to the stage at the B-Live event in London. The station played Seven Days In Sunny June, which they said would be released in August. During the interview Jay said that Seven Days was originally planned to be released in November, but he felt that this didn't seem right, so the best they could do is August!

Hello,
Hope all my fellow American fans had a merry July 4th holiday weekend, I loved all the fireworks . Anyway, looks like my Sony/BMG U.S. contact was right after all about the "Seven Days" single (See my past post link here: http://www.jamirotalk.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3183 ), I just hope they put on some elusive unreleased Jam B-sides on this single (I.E. Cannabliss, Shoot The Moon, Snooze You Lose?!?). I'm hopeful I can check in with my Sony contact in the next week or so. In regards to the Seven Days Video, I could foresee Jamiroquai on a boat, but I think JK would like to use the new video shoot as another excuse to go on another venture to a tropical climate for a mini holiday before returning to their world tour. I would like to see the band, and this video shoot time ALL OF THE Band, playing happily as CGI generated sun rays dance along to the warm vibes of the song . Oh well, here comes the 1st TRUE single from Dynamite but the 2nd one in our stunted reality of life. Thanks for the news post Francesca (FRA), much appreciated ! Thanks for listnening and Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

Hello again,
This was just added as a supplement on the Funkin Site, mostly pertaining to the precise release date for the "Seven Days" single :
On the back cover of the Seven Days In Sunny June promo CD's the following information is printed, which announces a release date of 15 August:
"The second single and summer anthem from his outstanding 6th album Dynamite is released on 15th August.
After selling nearly 30 million albums over the last ten years Dynamite has been the most critically acclaimed album of the bands career. This slice of blissed out funk & soul is the perfect accompaniment to the summer days ahead and a classic Jamiroquai track.
With a huge world tour lined up Jay Kay is once again firing on all cylinders!!"
There you go, mark your calenders, screw in your sundials and mark the area of the stars for August 15th! Thanks to the Funkin Site for this and thanks for listening! Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

Hey!
With just 4 weeks and a day to go until the release date, I'm wondering...where is the video?! I'm getting impatient! lol! Also, I agree with Brent, I'd like to see all of the bandmembers in this one! Although, just maybe, there's space for a girl...

Just a side-note for the Aussies - It seems that although the video is already being shown here (on Rage at least), unlike the Brits who'll get the single instore on August 15, according to the Sanity website, we'll have to wait until September 5 for our release... Looks to be exactly the same as the UK maxi release.

TWM has probably selled the most and we know the selling figures but if counting a simple approximate of 6 times 5 million, it makes 30 million. I think it is quite a realistic conclusion, don't you think? _________________ kite carrier (geuze)
