john scotfield
i saw 2 days ago john scotfield live in my towns jazz festival and it was incredible great! i don't follow this man so much, i only have one album together with pat metheny, but i tihnk i need to get more stuff by him, he plays so much kinds of music, from jazz to funk and it's amazing, all the muscicinas were really masters.

I highly recommend his album A Go Go, where he's backed up by Medeski, Martin and Wood. Funky, bluesy, jazzy... drums, electric guitar, electric bass or double bass, hammond organ, Wurlitzer el. piano etc.

No T in Scofield...
he's very nice..he just made a new album playing ray charles...very cool indeed...
He's right up there with Pat Metheney in the new generation of old guitarrists....very nice...and his drummer, bill stewart is very good

I saw Scofield play in a double bill with saxophonist Karl Denson a couple years ago, it was perhaps the best concert I've ever heard. Scofield is extremely funky and skilled. I have his "Uberjam" cd from 2002, you can't help dancing to it!! check it out, this is a good disc for anyone who has trouble getting into jazz.

I saw John Scofield Trio on may, here in Bs As. They're awesome. I love the A Go Go [Medeski, Martin and Wood] album and I Can See Your House From Here, with Pat Metheny. Great guitarrist and awesome musician Cool

SalU2!
