Hello party people!
I went to the gig with Sara ( the other winner from the contest) and With Manuela (the lady from the radio Antena 3).
Amazing gig i must say, The plaza was full with people, the arena was complete and the benchs was also preaty good , i don't know the capacity of the plaza , but i must say that was about 3000 people in arena and 2000 in the benchs! I don't know exactly how much ,and if this numbers are correct , but was about 5000 6000 persons in the concert.
When i enter in the plaza was about 20:00 i was catch by the local television and i had to give and interview , the reporter went shoked , when i said that i was from Portugal and i was there just to see Jamiroquai.
I had the chance to meet Spanish Cozmik Girl and talk with her and her boyfriend for a bit! I could get a place in the 2 row , was a nice place. Not in the center , a bit to the rigth wich was very good, cause jay spend lots of time there during the gig
Remains 2h15m till the gig begin! What a rush Some dj playing music till the concert begins.
First screams and photos of the night , Jay appear in a tunnel ,watching the place of the concert!
Pass sometime , he appears again with Mark , already dreased but not with the hat.
Also saw Matt befor the gig begins , behind the stage.
Must say that was very hot!! About 30º!
22h20m Alright lights went off, dj out , is time to boogie!
To begin , and the comming of the band one great remix from : Lalo Schifrin - Theme From Enter The Dragon exactly that one that is in Late Night Tale , but mixed woooow preaty cool.Everybody screaming, and the members came one by one to the stage! Jay in last as usual
Heres the Setlist:
Canned Heat
The people went crazy , everyone dancing, i just remmember to look back and watch everybody dancing
Space Cowboy
Amazing ,my fav song, and with the new lyrics, one of best momments in the night,i don't know anyone that don't like that song.
Cosmic Girl
boogie
Revolution 1993
For me the best momment in the night, i simply love it , first cause is an old song! i remmember very well that everybody was more calm in that song, and i couldn't stop dancing and singing the song.
There as a girl in front of me,she was without words looking to me cause i know all the letters and dancing as a mad guy!
Little L
Nothing Special to add, well to me but the public love it! Maybe the big first momment of the night.Everyone was synkronized.
Mr. Moon
Genius!
Dynamite
I Simply love this song. The begin and the end is from other world.
For me was one of the best songs of the night The girls give the best they can in this song
High Times
I didn't think the crowd would like that song, but the begin is explosive as we well know, Everybody jumping and having fun
Feels Just Like It Should
Don't know why they keep playing this song in the gig Jay don't have the voice to sing it! They just play it cause is the single...to bad...to bad!
Use The Force
Amazing! Sola and Derrick with amazing performance!
(Don't) Give Hate A Chance
I like it , after that speach that Jay give to the audience. Jay would give a nice profet lolol
A bit more large then the album version (wich is normal)
Love Foolosophy
Another high time from the night!
Seven Days In Sunny June
Well, i don't like it that so much,as others in the new album. But was preaty good, there was many girls behind me , spending all gig screaming to the band plays : 7 days
Virtual Insanity
I didn't count with this one, i was tinking in Travelling Without Moving! But no TWM (hope they play them here)
Alright
Long Version don't know , but was about 8~9 minutes! I love that one.
---Encore---
Deeper Underground
The Rocky and Explosive one , the best way to end the night
Jay really like to play there, the band give a nice concert!
I see the band live have a base in Rob Harris in Sola and Derick. It was what i tink,my opinion.
Obvius Jay is the front man and the Star!
He seams a bit confused and nervous he spend all night song after song tinking in what to play next.Cause they had 2 setlists in the stage.A Short one : 18 musics ; a large one : 21 songs.
Afterall they only play 16 songs too sad , they miss to songs! damn it lol Hope they play 18 or more in Sunrise Festival!
There was also a tiny problem in the sound sistem jay was talking in the breaks with the man in soundboard and with Mark!
After the gig i was completly wet xD my shirt stinks so much! 1h45m dancing with that hot is preaty tired my legs couldn't resist no more!
End of the show : i get a setlist! Was the best that i could get!
Tanks Sony for pay me the 3 days in that expensive hotel, give me the chance to know a bit Mallorca the 600€ from the flights and the ticket to see the concert
I have photos, but i wait for the photos from Sara, when i have them i put in a site |

Oh ok, Evo, leave it that. I only want to hear acceptable audience recordings. I can't listen to the B-live recording either. |

Fred, you automatically teleported me to Mallorca! Great review, excellent photos (lucky bstard ). don't worry about the quality of your recording, I'm sure even with the worst quality that recording will be special for you, no matter how much noise is in it.
The same happens with my recording of the show in Buenos Aires in 1999.
cheers man _________________
