Gripes and a Video question!!
Hi Everyone,

I'm from the US and its too bad that Jamiroquai is not as big out here as it is in the UK and Australia. Or I should that they are not promoted like they should be. Sony should promote the heck out of them here. If they are so succesful in other parts of the world then why wouln't they be in the states? They are so much better than some "one hit wonder" pop band that record companys pour all this money into and promote to appeal to the pop teen culture out here. There would be even a bigger fan base out here in the states if record stations, etc would play their music more. The only video I saw of Jam' was V. I. and that seemed like I only saw the video once. I was watching MTv a lot and I never saw the video again. And then I saw Love Foolosophy once last year, and I am sure it was played because Heidi Klum was in it and she is so big out here with Victorias Secret.

Anyway where can I find full length Jamiroquai videos? Jam's official site is lame with the 2 second video clips.

This is a great forum. I've learned a lot in just reading it in over an hour Wink

Thanks!

Hello, I'm Jan :)

I know there's file sharing programmes where you could exchange video clips etc, another fan has set up room 101 in winmx - I can't find it though. Crying or Very sad

George Michael was on Graham Norton the other night, he was saying that it's too hard to get "big" in the US - you need to promote yourself non-stop, needing to be on the TV and the radio etc.

A short while ago, someone from Detroit was complaining that Jamiroquai get no airplay - I had a look at some radio stations in that city and tried to look for one which broadcast over the 'net - I gave up - however, the thought in my mind was just to bombard the station with mail from the world over - if we did this with every major station in each city, maybe that could work? Sony don't promote, maybe it's up to us :)

Nice to meet you.

I'm amazed you saw Love Foolosophy on TV. I've only seen Little L played once, and every once and a while you see a "25 Greatest Videos" show, and Virtual Insanity is highlighted.

Anyway, I've almost completely given up on promotion in the US. I think AFO would've gotten a lot more publicity had it not been for the terrorist attacks, because they hit right at the beginning of Jamiroquai's promotional tour in the States. I think we'll have to wait until album #6.

In the meantime, tell all your friends about Jam, and we can spread the word.

Cheers.

Have you tried KaZaA? I found a lot of them on there.

Hmmm.. I've seen little l maybe 5 times, ygms 2 times, lf 2 times, alright once. Oh, and I did'nt see it on the original air date, but on a re-run of regis & kelly I saw them perform little l (I even taped it!) Now, on the radio I've heard little l once, little l - bob sinclair remix a million times, lf - knee deep remix a million times, ygms - f. intention mix twice...... Not bad eh? But I have'nt heard a full jamiroquai song on the radio in a couple of months, just 30 seconds of lf - knee deep remix a few times in a best of 2002 dance mix, or a preview of the next mc mario album (he's the most famous dj in canada).... And when I request jamiroquai on his site, he never plays it... But enough about my problems.. I use grokster, which shares the same network as kazaa, and looks almost exactly the same too. If you look hard enough, you could really find some great things. Another suggestion to get jami videos is to trade with others (possibly me - see my list 5arrow http://www.geocities.com/jamoke1717/list.html Or, you could find them on certain websites, I'll list a few

www.buffaloman.com
www.geocities.com/dlawebsite
http://homepage1.nifty.com/kons/

that's just a few.. although most of the videos there are'nt the music videos, they are some live ones, but those are good too. buffaloman.com has the lf and lf alternative music videos for download. And also I'm sure you could probably request downloads at some sites.....
