We kill animals all the time and most people dont have a problem with this. But it is wrong to kill a person. Why? Because they are human. But when does a life become a human? When it has the potential to become human? When it is born? When it is capable of thinking for itself?
Because there is no clear definition of what a human is, we cannot say absolutely that killing is wrong or that abortion is wrong.
And then there are issues such as "is it right to give brith if, for example, the baby will only live a short life full of misery and suffering until it dies of a disease or abnormality detected before birth?"
Furthermore, making abortion illegal would simply force some women to undergo the operation in covert and potentially dangerous conditions, as well as increasing the subsequent emotional stress. |

i dont think u should be allowd to have an abortion someone said when the baby is in the mothers womb it does not have a choice weather it lives or dies... i think that is bogus... its still a person! its someone who oneday will make this world wot it is for the future!
i think they should just go and put the baby up for adoption! there r plenty of parents out there who cannot have babies and the fact that someone is willing to kill there own child becoz they dont want it is so god damn selfish! |

Its just like if you were aborted... you wouldnt be here now if you are deliberatly killed by another human it is murder whether ur in the whom or 50!

Guys we're not talking about babies here... those cute little humans that cry and crawl around and shit themselves.. abortion does not involve babies. Abortion involves an embryo that is barely distinguishable from a blob. its not a human, its just part of the mother like an spleen or a kidney...
u can't compare abortion to murder because what u are "killing" is not a person, it only has the potential to be a person. So do stem cells, but u wouldnt cry murder if someone dropped a test tube full of them on the lab floor
so u cant argue that abortion is unfair because the baby doesnt have a choice. Did u stop and ask the last ant u trod on whether it would mind being killed? Its absurd |

Pietro, for my taste you're speaking too religiously, but you're absolutely right. If you don't want babies at all, don't fuck (a condom could have a hole) or become gay if you still want sex without the risk of having babies but still with the power of making them. That's the problem with vasectomy, it's terminal, it could happen that you'd change your mind one day. |

I beleive abortion is wrong but for example my 14 year old friend who was taken advantage of or a girl that has been raped should be allowed to get the abortion but i also know my mums friend who has had 3!! Thats just crap!!!
