Jamiroquai Action Figures..
I was in a store, walking past the barbie section, spotted some ken dolls and thought "Too bad there weren't any jamiroquai barbies..". I think someone should make some. Anyone got any old ken dolls lying around the house? I've already made my lego jamiroquai dudes. Maybe we could do something. I think I've seen some pics of jk statues in the jamily photo album. Maybe playdoh could be used. I've got a good idea how to make jamiroquai from ken dolls, but I don't have any. But I do have barbie dolls... hmmm... my idea is pretty lame though. I was thinking of sticking pictures of the boys' faces on the kens faces. Would it be ok if my jamiroquai action figures were trans-gendered? Is anybody still reading this??? I guess not..

(Must be funny to see Jay with big hats in dolls!!!!!)
But with the keyboards and bass... , it would be better
(But do you think the band would be agree to see itself in dolls?  )

Well, I think they'd like it. I know that if I had my own barbie, I'd be pretty proud. But it problably would be freaky to have people playing around with a doll that looks like you. What if someone hated the band, and they bought the dolls just so that they could torture them, that would be scary. And there would be little kids playing with them.. But it would still be nice. Haha I just pictured an infomercial for the barbies "...Now you can own your own Jamiroquai doll! (A shot of the dolls performing in a bar is shown)". And at the end of the commercial. "Jay kay's cigarettes, beer, and hookers sold seperately"!

JAY KAY™ Brand Cheeba Cigarettes (once it's legal.....it will be).
The dolls would be wonderful. Complete with assorted hats and outfits (sporty, slummy, dressy). The body would be fully posable and could spin and move all around (band members would come with accessories). Conveyer Belt sold seperately.
Great idea, smellbob. Pitch it to Sony!

It seems as if dollar stores don't seem to have black barbies or male barbies. This may be a problem. I guess my jamiroquai action figures will all have to be white females. But I'll look again somewhere else. Anyways, I'm wondering which pictures to use for the faces of the bandmembers. If you have a suggestion for the pictures I'll be using for thier faces, post the pictures you would like me to use here, or e-mail it to me at kittybabe55@hotmail.com or pm me the picture. Another problem I'm going to have just occured to me, I don't have any color ink in my printer. Ok. These are gonna be one bunch of screwed up mutant barbies. Now I've got some more questions for all of you. What color do you want me to make their clothes? What kind of clothing should they be wearing? What color should Jays hat be? If no-one gives me their input I'll decide everything for myself. OH MY GOD!!! I JUST HAD THE PERFECT IDEA!!! I am a collector of garden gnomes, maybe I could make Jamiroquai out of them!! I am crazy. Who else but crazy smellbob would think of these things? I should change my name to crazy smellbob. That's a cool name. I also collect other statues, such as wizards, farm animals, dragons, egyptian items, etc... Maybe I could make Jay an actual pig in space.. Or I could make rob an actual guitar wizard.. Or I could make sola into a percussion gnome.. Or I could make (Looks around room for other type of statue) nick fyffe - dragon bassist. Wow now that's a cool title. Or I could make king tut matt johnson.. Or I could make derrick the cool drum cat. So many statues.... But I think I'll pass on that, and stick to my original plan. But as I said before, maybe I could use playdoh. Yes. I'll buy a thing of playdoh and mold the band with my bare hands. But that idea sounds too complicated. Does anyone want to mail me 6 ken dolls (2 of them being black)? Please? C'mon. If you don't it means that you don't object to my plan to make them out of white female barbies. I've got about 7 real white female barbies somewhere in my basement. This post is too long. Call me crazy smellbob from now on. And I'm not high right now. So don't ask me. I'm just being my regular self. Soooooonnnyyy can you hear me? Make me some jamiroquai dolls please! pretty please? pretty please with a cherry on top? C'mon! I guess they did'nt hear me.. Someone please help me! I don't want to spend $60 on real ken dolls. Why is barbie so expensive? Wow this post is long! Donate some kens to me please! I'm done. Wait! no I'm not! I JUST HAD ANOTHER BRILLIANT IDEA! Okay. Brace yourselves, it's really cool..... How about Jamiroquai stuffed animals!!! Jay could be a teddy bear, derrick could be a tiger, rob could be a turtle, nick could be a rabbit, sola could be a monkey, and matt could be a bird!!! I'm soo smart. The stuffed animal idea will be my back-up plan incase the ken doll thing dies. Ok. Now I'm really done.

ANYWAY, I think you should make mulitple Jays. But, how would you make the clothes? Particularly the hat. I want to see a Virtual Insanity JK. Good luck with that.

Smellbob, you're really crazy!!!! I can see a whole crowd of Jami Drag Queens in my imagination. It's really scary  I have 4 Barbies and 1 Ken lying in the next room - but I think my daughter would kill me if I would change them into Jamiroquai-members.... But you're right Smellbob, it's very hard to find black Barbies - and I never saw a black Ken. Hmm there must be a deeper intention behind this.... It's nearly philosophical  |

Wow! That was haaaaaard to read & make sence of. From what I've made out, here's my reply:
1)My sister has a large amount of crappy dolls. I'm sure if I "borrowed" one I could manipulate it into a member of Jamiroquai (probably JK) But I want to have one in the AFO outfit. But I'm not too good at messing about with dolls
2)The stuffed animals part... would this involve simply dressing up the animal in clothing? I mean how would you put faces onto animals?
Well, I'm not too clear about my ideas there... Kinda all over the place there....... Like you, Crazy Smellbob!

What do you plan to do with these action figures when you've made them? Just admire them?
OOH, I know......you can make a stop motion movie and submit it as part of the global video (if or when that gets off the ground).
I don't know about the stuffed animals...... |

The stuffed animals to me appear very strange.... even frightening lol
The dolls being a part of the global video is a good idea!!
But smellbob - how will you change the hair?? Cut it and colour it?? Shave it for Derrick and Sola hihi ?? Maybe you can get the "skin" of a white Barbie brown with self-tanning cream - would be worth a try... |

I must agree with you Ms. P (By the way, thanks for the recent Prelim chat in the Funkin Chatroom!), the idea of Jamiroquai dolls is kind of weird, I could foresee them being made, but only for doll collectors! But, the idea has merit, I would run out to the toy store and grab up a "Drunken and Cranky AFO JK Doll" with a "Denise 'Doesn't please me' Van Outen" doll and go home reinact my idea of how the break-up happened between these two, I could see it now: (JamiroFan Sits at a table with a JK Doll in his right hand, and the Denise doll in left hand. Takes JK dolls and mimics JK's voice through doll, same with Denise, " (JK Doll) "Why do you hate me so much Dee?" (Denise Doll) "You're NEVER here J, always out, drinking, living it up and not thinking about your lowly girlfriend at home alone with a carrot as her amusement!" (JK Doll) "Let's get things all nice and shiny, I DRINK to have fun and to tolerate shite in my life, and another reason, because of YOU, always whining and crying for little trinckets and stuff!" (Denise Doll) "OH, it's my fault, I can NEVER can do anything right, can't I??? (JK Doll) "Hmmm........yep, that's right, you treat me with nothing but little L!" (Denise Doll) "What's a 'little l'?" (JK Doll) "Well, after these problems, I've been writing songs about it!" (Denise Doll gasps and says) "Ahhhh...you've been writing songs behind MY BACK, that's it, I'm OFF!"
