Dynamite available in U.S. through iTunes Music Store
I just got this email from jamiroquai@epicrecords.com:
JAMIROQUAI His (sic) new album DYNAMITE
Download it exclusively at iTunes!
CD in U.S. Stores September 20, 2005!
There is then a picture of the album cover that is just a golden buffalo man. Due to this, I'm figuring this is some sort of weird spam, but sure enough, it's available at the iTunes music store (though there, it has the "normal" cover shown).
Although I'm glad that U.S. fans can now legally obtain Dynamite, I can't believe how amateurish Sony/Epic U.S. is. The jamiroquaimusic.com website is a joke and this email looked like spam. Pretty sad.... |

itunes
I was just going to post about this. My bro pointed it out that it was on itunes and I really made sure that it was the American site, and hey it's the 8th most downloaded today (7/2 !! There is more info about it on funkin.com. I'm just wondering if this a good/bad move on their part. Most likely a positive since the U.S CD will be a dualdisc. Looks very promising for Jamiroquai in the U.S. |

Hello there,
Mmm... that's very good news! Hopefully they will make another TWM up there! They deserve it, they wanted to do the same with AFO and a terrorist attack made such a catastrophy!
PS: Michael Jackson's new album is at number 128 with only 8000 copies sold

Sounds like the album's doing decent as far as downloads go! Haven't heard JMQ on the radio yet, however. I'm waiting for that, as well as a Boston tour date for the fall! I hope. _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does. Hello,
Hmm...7th most pay downloaded album, wasn't the same spot Dynamite was at on the illegally downloaded album number list...hehe ? Hehe, that is indeed good news, just about the "modest success" level I was hoping for, all they need now is a stellar 3 week autumn tour stint in the States with "TWOM" media attention and the American public consciousness about Jamiroquai being a "1 hit wonder" will be brushed away! Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,

Brent,
Whatever are you talking about!? JMQ is now a One and a Half hit wonder in the U.S. Not everyone knows the song they are listening to is "Canned Heat", but so many Americans know the song. They hear it, and the only thing that can be said is "Vote for Pedro"!
Hopefully "Vote for Pedro" will bring a few new American fans to the fray and will increase attendance at shows a little. Im so so so waiting in agony for the release of the U.S. tour locations!!! _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

It is amazing how well Jamiroquai is doing on itunes (up to #6) and there is practically no promotion for the album except for an occassional flash of its release on the itunes site. Wow the power of th US Jamirofans! |

Who cares how well Dynamite is doing on iTunes? Those are just downloads. Every real fan will buy the physical album. I'm more curious about the amount that will be sold of the American CD... _________________

not much i m afraid because of piracy and all that
well actually i never tough that dynamite would made it into the top ten on itunes. And If i remember correctly i think the highesty pick that a jamiroquai album ever made in the billboard chart was # 24 , and that was back then with travelling without moving. _________________ JACK_LE_FOU

Hello,
Hmmm...that kind of stinks, I will however be doing my "American Jami Dynamite civic duty" and try to drum up as much interest into the U.S. Release whereever and whenever I can . In regards to American Radio, they have been bone idle as usual, I have called some of my local radio stations trying to get them to play FJLIS, but to most of the DJs, this was "sudden" new info to them. I don't know whether they are waiting to late August to start promotions or what, but I have been circulating little "handbills" for Dynamite to friends and other places trying to get their curious eyes onto the web to learn more. I'm working on some simple "American Dynamite" release flyer designs and my hope is to enlist the help of my fellow American Fans (JGrizz, Jaminneapolis, and others) to print out their own copies of these and circulate them in their hometowns. With a concerned effort of fans in a early promotions blitz, we can really help the great vibes of Dynamite to get out to more and more confused American music fans. Thanks for listening and expect the designs online soon! Peace!
Sincerely,
