Hello again,
Hmmm...very interesting info Brother Bear, you might be right, but you have to admit, the SDISJ metal liquid cover could have been CGI rendered, but the white liquid covers WERE real . I wonder how the heck he does it, I mean, getting those AMAZING effects with the liquids and snapping them at the right precise moment. Jason Tozer is brilliant, look forward to more Jami single cover experiments! Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,

Yep!
And anyway, the Official Site were giving away one of the perspex buffalomen used in the artwork. If you look close on the promo it's not hard to tell it's been cut from perspex _________________

Ooooh, lookies what I got in the post this morning:
A whole 2 days before the release
Didn't get the poster though, must not have been early enough. Anyone ordering the vinyl a few days after the poster announcement was made, prepare to be similarly disappointed
Oh well, it's still super pretty! _________________

Oh no no, cosmic bear I'm sure it's cg, first I said, oh ok maybe the first one is a photo but the otehrs not, liquid modelling is not that hard, ever heard of HYPERnurbs?..not that hard to do, just a couple metaballs and modelling u're done, not that hard, the buffalo man mesh is quite easy to do, ok some thousand pollys but not that huge of a file, also, rendering times, well they might vary but I can do a huge image with a lot of variables and take 6 hours to render on my 1.7gh 256 ram machine..I'm sure deigners have way better pc's and therefore rendertimes are way faster, plus, what do you mean by 400 frames, for the liquid? I would make it happen with 1 and if you want motion maybe 10, or 1 with photoshop retouch and believe me, cinema4d (what I use) is very easy to set up and it's embedded render might not be the best and still can pull the job off, and fast, I'm sure it's CG, but true I might be wrong.
do you like 3d modelling? I can give you a very sleek but not heavy file mesh of the buffalo man or maybe you could help me with my renders? dunno, take care mate! |

Wooo, I found out I did get the poster after all. Check the envelope carefully
It's the cover of CD1 with the release date underneath, very nice indeed _________________

not everything you see there is a photo..hmm still bear's comments are valid and he has a good point, but now that I've seen that he works with liquids and broken glass a lot I'm convinced it's a pic, still now I wonder, is it milk? not quite I think it's paint |
