Hello Jamirotalkers,

Chart updates of Seven Days (source: funkin):

Seven Days In Sunny June is currently on the Capital, Kiss FM and (as previously reported) BBC Radio 1 playlists.

In the "Cool Cuts" chart dated 23 July 2005, the single is a new entry at number 6, with the notes reading "With mixes from Steve Mac, Ashley beedle and Kraak & Smaak". The Cool Cuts is the UK’s leading tastemaker dance chart compiled from reactions from tastemaker DJs and the Cool Cuts shop panel.

In the "Pre-Release Airplay Top 20" chart, which is compiled from airplay of dance records on Capital FM, the Galaxy Network, Kiss FM, BBC Radio 1 and The Vibe radio stations in the UK, Seven Days In Sunny June is at number 9, up 8 places from last week.

Hey!

Seven Days In Sunny June has entered the UK Singles Chart at No.14. Meanwhile, following the release of the single, Dynamite has moved up 4 places in the Album Chart...to No.14 (coincidently!).

I'm a little disappointed...what are your views?!

Like I was saying to Claire a short while ago when we were chatting on MSN... I really think SDISJ would have entered at a better chart position if it had been released earlier in the summer. The whole vibe of the song, even if we ignore the obvious reference to "June", has a very summery feel & the video goes along with that theme as well. Very nice, but as the summer here in the UK has pretty much disappeared I really think thats played a factor. Kinda silly but I reckon the entry postion would have been higher if it was still hot & sunny here!

I may be alone here, but I think you have a point. SDISJ has an obvious summery feel to it and people would get more easily into it if it was still hot and sunny. It's very much like releasing a single about a white christmas here in December, when it's summer. It wouldn't grab the masses, would it?

I also think it'd be interesting to see a single that mentions "June" being released in June.... I don't know, but it's a bit strange to release such a single in August. It's a silly thought, I know, but...

Ahhh some fresh air for me!

My favorite track from the album (ELECTRIC MISTRESS) is at number 1 in the "Top 10 Upfront Club Breakers" chart (chart dated 24 December), while DYNAMITE is at number 4.

This chart reflects some of the tracks that are causing big impact in night clubs around the UK.

More chart positions from funkin:

In the chart dated 17 December Electric Mistress was a new entry at number seven.

During recent weeks the Steve Mac and Freemasons mixes of (Don't) Give Hate A Chance have been in "The Upfront Club Top 40" chart, entering at number 33 on 10 December and dropping to 35 a week later.
