6th album like the 3rd!
I love the Acid Jazz sound, so we need a return of that groove. TRAVELLING WITHOUT MOVING was great because it gave us our fill of the old sound and introduced us to the disco sound of jamiroquai's future. The 6th album should be like that, giving us all our fill of what we love most.
personally, i'd like to see the inclusion of some tracks only heard live (i.e. Cannabliss, Funk Odyssey, Don't Stop The Feeling, etc.)
More importantly, Jamiroquai needs to hit big in the USA again!

i hope jamiroquai goes back to their early sound. the latest album sounds very pop orientated. i mean, i still love it...but at the perth concert people had no idea what all of the other songs were! _________________ I'm still groovin'...and if I like it, I do it! |

Jay Kay was interviewed on Rove Radio Australia on November 23rd. The interview is available for download at
http://www.funkin.com/downloads/new/
Jay said (toward the end of the interview) that he wanted the next album to sound like the first, with lots of strings and brass.
When you gonna learn to trust our favorite band?????
keep on groovin', and I think we can expect some more cheeba tunes on the way! |

Colaborations
I think that the next cd should feature some colabarations with other artists. Jamiroquai have done some wicked stuff with the likes of M-Beat, Anastasia, Jools Holland. But I think that a couple of duets would do nicely, maybe we could Ms Dynamite in there ( then maybe we could get Stuart Zender back for a track or two.) _________________ INTERPLANETARY GOOD-VIBES ON! |

In the thread about collaborations, I said I would prefer that there not be any collaborations on the album itself. I'd love to hear some duets released outside the album (like Jools Holland) but those CDs are sacred. Besides, outside people could really pervert the classic Jamiroquai sound. |

The boys (J, R, M, N & D) are in Italy at this very moment, working on the next album. Things, so I have been told, seem to be going well so far and there has been a really good, creative and funky vibe. They did a small gig on Friday night. Jay might just be sighted at the Grand Prix thiis weekend. Will pass on more info as my spies get it .

This sounds like fresh first hand news. Thanks Little M!
Just the kind of news I like to hear to make me wait until the next album.
