Thanks for the setlist!!
So, the only difference to Rotterdam is Starchild instead of SDISJ. I remember hearing Starchild at the B!Live gig in London and it was fantastic!!
Can't wait for reviews and pictures!! Keep it coming, people!!

Hi,
Here’s my (long) review of the gig Jamiroquai gave on Saturday in Brussels.
My girlfriend and I arrived at 2:15 pm at the venue and 3 people were already waiting. We chatted for a while with 2 italian fans and later on many French fans arrived. Time flies when you’re chatting the whole time. Ezzi (Ester) arrived too and it was very nice to have her next to us!
At 6:30 pm the doors went open! We were running like crazy idiots to be in front row and we succeed! I was third inside, but I was able to pass the other two, because they were running to far (they didn’t know the right door and I did know). So I arrived first in the front of the stage and we’ve got the best places (front row, in the middle). Now we had to wait again until the gig starts. The front row was filled with French, Dutch and Italian people, which was really nice. Very nice people in a very good mood.
At 8:45 pm the lights went out and the show started. Everybody went crazy, jumping, clapping and shouting. The band came on stage followed by Jay a little bit later.
The sound was great, much better than in Rotterdam and Jay seemed to be more satisfied, but he was gesturing from time to time. I heard he’s doing this at almost every concert. The band seemed in a good mood, smiling and making jokes from time to time.
I tried to put my thumbs up to all the band members, and they saw it and gave a little sign. Only Derrick was unreachable for me, he couldn’t see me.
After Cosmic Girl Jay looked at the first row and said: “I see there are some fans who have joined more concerts this tour.” So he recognized some people for sure!
In between two songs we tried to make them play Shoot The Moon, but they didn’t hear it. When it was silent again, I tried again shouting Shoot The Moon and Jay heard it. He repeated me, saying: “Shoot The Moon”, he laughed and turned around to Rob to see if he had heard it. Very special moment. I hope there’ll be a bootleg where this can be heard.
When Love Foolosophy was played, Jay came off the stage to shake hands. He almost passed me, but then he grabbed my hand and said: “Hi, how are you!”. I put my thumb up and asked how he was doing. This was my second special moment of the gig.
During the concert I was able to have contact with the band members which was very nice.
About the set list: it was a nice setlist, the standard one, but in comparison with Rotterdam they played Starchild instead of Seven Days In Sunny June this time, which was a very nice surprise.
The best tracks for me were Space Cowboy, Love Blind, Dynamite, Use The Force, Love Foolosophy, Time Won’t Wait.
At 10:40 they went away after playing a very deep version of Deeper Underground. And Jay signed to us! He looked quite a while and let us three know that he's seen us and that he enjoyed. Nice part of contact.
After the show we (my girlfriend, Ester and I) went to the artist entrance en we were able to catch Matt and had a nice chat with him for a while. He was in a very good mood.
We talked about why Time Won’t Wait isn’t on the European release, about why they don’t play Shoot The Moon, about the tour in general, about them coming back to Europe next year (!), about the sound problems in bigger halls, about why they didn’t do South America in the previous tour, about him being tired of High Times and Travelling Without Moving, about set list changes for the tour in America, Japan and Australia, and about all the things I’ve forgot at the moment.
Nice quotes he did:
- When they played Time Won’t Wait in the beginning it was better than the album version!
- They didn’t do South America in the AFO tour because of the bad economy at that time. (“When it’s too expensive for the people, it’s difficult to do a concert”.) I said: the’re are some fans who desperately need your concerts there
- He couldn’t say a thing about set list changes for the next tune, be he must confirm that some tunes will be boring when you’re playing it all the time.
- About Shoot The Moon he said they only played it two or three times and it was written only for the Montreux gig. Besides, Jay has lost the lyrics. They never played it since then. I asked him: was Shoot The Moon ever in the running to be on the album? No!
- We talked about the sound problems and that Jay is giving signs all the time. He said not so much about this, but that in bigger halls like Ahoy it’s more difficult to get a proper sound.
- Nice one: after a while he asked: “And now tell me something about your lifes!” So we were laughing and I answered: “We are all committed to Jamiroquai and their music, so there’s not so much time left.”
- And at last: they’ll come back to Europe next year!
Forgot to ask about a Best Of album which is maybe on the role for the next year.
When Matt went back inside, we waited a little bit longer and the other band members came outside. Unfortunately Jay couldn’t take the time to sign or pictures. He went straight into the bus. I was able to greet Paul and Sola and I got a nice “Hi, how are you”, but they went straight to the bus too.
The security wanted us to go away, we tried to get back, but it was impossible to reach the band again.
At 1:00 am we went home. Satisfied about a great gig, a nice chat with Matt and my personal special moments.

Couldn't have said it better Jeroen! You even remembered more about our talk with Matt than I did.
Let me see what I can add to this:
-When Revolution 1993 started a little boy came on stage with a Jay-style hat from the AFO tour on. He was standing next to the singers and was dancing to the tune. After the song Jay took his hand and we all clapped for him. He was on the side of the stage for a long time after that.
-He didn't give a political speech just before Don't give Hate a Chance.
Hmmm, can't think of anything else to add. GREAT REVIEW!
And next tour, drinks are on me!
