Well I heard about you not having standing tickets, did you have a great time as well on the sitting tribune? 'Cos at one time I was looking at the "seaters" and half of them was still in their seats. I thought COMMON' GET UP AND DANCE!!!

Yup, half of the tribune was sitting (the whole show!), but I was among the peeps who sat down for about one song and then we had to get up and dance! Cool

I wanted to share this picture of Jay when he signed for fans from his bus. I did get some autographs, one on my ticket stub and one on a cd booklet. I didn't have my camera with me at that point. When i walked back to the car I remembered my camera and walked back. He was just about to say hi. He waved at me when he saw me again with my camera but ofcourse i just missed capturing that moment and got this picture instead:

I couldn't believe how nice everybody was. Especially Jay was in a really good mood. I'm kinda stupid for not taking a picture with him, but I just rather have a talk than say nothing and just take a picture and go (what some people did).

I'm really happy getting everybody's autograph and talking to them. I didn't see Paul unfortunately. Rob was the nicest. He asked for my name and seemed interested in everyone's story.
In Brussels we had a longer talk with Matt also.

Lucky ezzi Wink !
Next time I'll be waiting for the band too. Where did they left the Ahoy-complex? Cause I didn't know where to wait.

I just remembered the story Jay told about his hand.
He was telling how he got his hand cut open on the tourbus on his way to Hamburg and had to stop at a hospital in Breda (city in the Netherlands) He was hoping for a pretty young nurse, but he didn't get one. He laughed. He showed his wrist to the audience (you could clearly see the scar) and told us they did a good job on the stiching and invited the nurse to come take another look at it after the show if she was there.

I don't wanna talk about the reaction of the stupid dutch crowd when Jay mentioned Germany. It's just too embarrassing. Even Jay was suprised to hear such a hateful reaction and i just can't believe that it happened. These people should listen to Don't Give Hate A Chance a little but better!(hmmm...now i do talk about it. Well, it just bothers me!)

Well, that story isn't that clear to me. Read about the day of 20st September in the tour diary (http://jam-page.blogspot.com/). It says:

Dynamite Tour Diary 20/09/05

Hello again!

Here we are in Dusseldorf, Germany, awaiting our
soundcheck for the day. It's quite boring as we had to
check out early from our hotel so have nothing to do
but sit on the bus!
The other day we had a real drama when Jay badly cut
his wrist. He was just about to go to bed on his bus
when it lurched in the road, causing him to lose his
balance. He went to steady himself with his hand which
found a protuding metal object. The result was a very
deep gash which needed 7 stiches. The tendoms were
exposed and they had to give him 5 injections directly
in his wrist before stitching him up!
I must admit he was a real trooper, I thought the gig
would be off but although he couldn't dance for fear
of re-opening the wound his gave a fantastic show. In
fact, for me, it was the best we have done in terms of
the music.

I fully agree Ezzi!

what is not clear? The accident happened on the road from France to Hamburg (traveliing through Breda when the accident happened) The story about it was written on the 20th but didn't happen on that day. Maybe that's what's confusing you.

Hallo Dutch Gig-Goers,

I had to comment on this thread. It is so heart warming to read this thread. The same events as we had in the UK. For me Dublin was my best gig, Clapham was my first, and Birmingham was terrific too.

Firstly, KrissCross that is some T-Shirt. I custom made myself a T-Shirt out of three old Jamiroquai T-shirts, I cut them up and stuck pieces onto a long sleeve T-Shirt and put a denim collar on it that I cut off an old jacket. But it was no where near as fantastic as yours Kriss !!!

You should sell them !!! I would buy instantly !!!

And to everyone else who wrote on this thread, I miss that I wasn't there to share the good viiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiibe that you all have going here. I am glad 'Sir' JK was good and congenial with his fans. The rest of the band are terrific I reckon - but I have not had the pleasure and honour to me any of them (yet).

I wouldn't like to have been in the shoes of the sound man - and end up on the sharp point of the Buffalo Man's horns !!! That's sad, I hope it didn't spoil your gig too much.

I personally was blown away by the performances of TWW, and had my interest reinvested in Revolution. Revolution was an excellent choice for a live performance. How did you people find these tracks ???

The girls, Lorraine, Hazel and Samantha really give it all they've got. I never realized until my first live Jamiroquai gig - just how much I appreciate and enjoy singing the back up lines. I frequently preferred to belt out their lines than 'Sir' JK's lines.

Lovelly review Addidas !!! I am one of the early birds (who catches the first worm - or front row) like yourself too !!!

Dutch Fans - I salute you all, I am looking forward to seeing your pics.

Rob - Hi !!!

Little hAYTCh :-)))))

Hi Little H,
you are like me, i also sing along with the backup singers all the time. They're so good and enjoying themselves so much.

The t-shirts people make here are really awesome. I want to make one too, for my little girl. I have an Adidas shirt for her that i could give a Jamiroquai vibe to it.

Thanks Little H for participating in this "Dutch" tread. And of course thanks for your compliments! Very Happy Maybe one day I will sell my shirts. But FRA and Pepela are already starting up a Jamirotalk-label called "BuffaloWear". We're awaiting their first results Wink
