VENUE SIZES FOR CONCERTS?
HI, EVERYONE! I live in Osaka, Japan. Jamiroquai's having TWO shows here next month, in 2 different venues, and each one holds about 2,000 people. In Tokyo, they'll play 2 shows at NIPPON BUDOKAN, which holds about 10,000 people I think.

How about in your city? How big was the venue, and what was the atmosphere like? I'm looking forward to the Osaka show because it will be at a big dance club (Motherhall) so I can see the band up close! The Tokyo show would be too big, like a stadium show.

No it was a festival: the Cornetto Free Music festival: Morcheeba, Joss Stone, US3 and finally, at midnite, Jamiroquai!

About squares...I saw the band performing in Brescia in year 2003. It was a quite tiny square, very cool background for with its cathedral dome.

Here you can see a picture of it:

In the U.S. they are playing small venures. Theatres and clubs. No moire than 2,000 people per venue, but then again they are not as popular here as in Europe, Japan, etc

Yeah the comments I made were observations, not complaints. A part of me does kinda wonder if what if they just played one date in the U.S., one city, like New York or L.A. or Miami, where they could just play one date in one big venue and have all the rabid U.S. Jamiroquai fans coming from all parts of the U.S,. to see them. It's a nice dream, but the reality is Im pretty sure they still haven't sold out the Chicago date yet Sad
