Songs of Jamiroquai: your magic moments!
Hi,
When Dynamite was just out, I started a topic about the special parts on the album.
Now I decided to do the same for all songs of Jamiroquai. Which parts of the tracks do you love? What kind of feeling do you have when you hear some parts? Where does it remind you of?
To make a start, I've chosen a few of my own (more to come later):
Pay attention to:
EOPE:
Blow Your Mind:
7:59-8:05 Great guitar
TROTSC:
Stillness In Time:
3:36-4:15 Incredible drums (high hat)
Dynamite:
Dynamite
3:37-4:00 Great singing Jay
Starchild
4:51 High singing Jay
Love Blind
2:53 After the break, there's something different, do you notice? I love this part
(Don't) Give Hate A Chance
3:00-3:15 Reminds me of Titan played on the past tour
3:15-3:43 Yes! Thanks to High Times!
Time Won't Wait (Funky funky track...)
3:05-3:20 So funky!
3:20-3:50 Difference in singing the chorus, gives me that live-feeling.
4:20-4:44 Great ending...

Thanks for cool topic, LLCoolJR!
for me there never was and i suppose never will be anything in the world music history equaul to jamiroquai songs when Toby and J wrote and arranged tracks together,
J and Toby made up the most deep and exclusive music i ever heard in my life.
and mate you are so right, "Everyday" is such a beatiful example!!!
all the track is the most beautiful music on earth and the moment
from 4:00 (which they played live as a separate song with words called "Who the funk do you think you are" in 90s) is fantastic, amazing. Derrick's drums sounding very special way, genious Toby Smith, Stu's super bass, Simon Katz incredibly cool sound - everything is so perfect!!! Instruments sound such exclusive way, and beautiful timbre of J's amazing voice make the track sound so cool, so charming, so unreacheable...
hey and dont forget to pay attention to Toby's hancock style rhodes piano tricks!!! |
