North American Ticket Sales Update
Doing a ticket search through Ticketmaster.com, I can tell you some pretty good news about the U.S. tour stops. With Atlantic City (that went tonight) and Montreal (where tickets aren't being sold through ticketmaster), ALL THE U.S. TOUR STOPS ARE SOLD OUT with the exception of Denver, Colorado and Las Vegas, NV. The Toronto tour stop is also sold out.
This is much better than I had feared, and these tour stops did not sell out right away. It's nice to know that eventually they did though. As of last week tickets for the Chicago tour date were still available, but not now.
It's not a timing thing either. The only time you can't buy tickets through ticketmaster.com for an event is if the event sells out or or if it's the day of the event, because then they don't have enough time to reserve your tickets through will call or send them through the mail. Otherwise you can purchase tix through the website up to the day before the show.
So this is very positive news. All but possibly 2 tour dates sold out. Not bad!!!!
Both NY shows: sold out.
Chicago: sold out.
Both San Fran shows: Sold out
L.A.: Sold out
Toronto: Sold Out
Boston (tonight): Sold out
The 2 Unknowns: Montreal and Atlantic City
The 2 with tickets still available: Denver and Las Vegas
It made me mad to see Denver and Atlantic City get tour stops compared to places like Houston, Atlanta, Miami, or MINNEAPOLIS where cities are as big, could provide more of a fan base, etc. etc. But I have no regrets for the shows I picked (partly due to my work schedule too). As for Vegas, it's too much of a tourist destination, mid week in Vegas isn't quite as bustling as the weekend. This show and the Atlantic City show were the 2 big "?" mark shows in temrs of how much of a draw they would be, because peoiple go there for other reasons than to see concerts.
BUT OVERALL DEFINATELY GOOD ATTENDANCE FOR MOST JAMIROQUAI SHOWS IN NORTH AMERICA!!! SEE SOMNE OF Y'ALL MONDAY IN NY!!!! PEACE! _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

'Mouse,
Thanks for the message. I will try to say "hi" to the Rowes. In an email David sent me, he said he'd be "the tall guy up front with the camera", so I at least know who to look for. Peace! _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

Suffice to say Atlantic City was NOWHERE near sold out. The upper deck where the seats were...there were too many empty seats and I was in shock. My favorite band in the world is HERE in my home state...and there are seats avail???
I didn't care...it was a great set. |

that's good news about selling out. AC not being sold out doesn't surprise me at all. weren't the tickets for the seats were higher in price than the floor?
and vegas not being sold out doesn't surprise me either. |
