My choice is:

-Space cowboy (Live at MTV Europe)
-Funktion (Live in any place)

Great choice, but they won't get an idea of Jamiroquai's music now.

Btw, Diego: do you know how difficult this topic is? If my friends would have had time, I'd let them listen to more songs of course Wink

yes you are right!!
if i have to show them all the jamiroquai line-ups, so i will choose:

1.- When You Gonna Learn (Songs for Manitú 1993)
2.- Space Cowboy (Live at Phoenix Festival 1997)
3.- Love Foolosophy (Live in Pori 2003)

Very tough to pick just 3 songs from 6 albums - plus bootlegs, but I'd pick

Manifest Destiny
Canned Heat
If I like it I do it.

emergency on planet earth - shows where they came from: their origin, rawness, authenticity, lovely songwriting about social issues. the passion is real and it's before money and a big label got a handle on the band. you can't get any realer than that whole album, or this song.

use the force - shows where they've been: the different cultures that influence their music..afro and latin rhythms baby...gives the foundation of jamiroquai: dance, dance, dance. brings out the percussion element. positive song.

seven days in sunny june - shows where they are going: brings out the instrumentation meaning the keys and guitar, lovely songwriting. the song has a good vibe. also transends the soul genre and tips on the edge of the rock genre with the feature of the guitar.

Oh 3 only? That's hard. Oh well, here it goes.

Canned Vibe - No one can resist the groove. It's stylish and very danceable. It should appeal to almost everybody since it's an easy tune yet with nifty arrangements.

Space Cowboy - Words can't describe this excellent tune. It's an essential tune to play if you are on a mission to convert someone.

Talullah - Never mind the slightly cheesy lyrics. The tune is great and shows that Jamiroquai still has "it".

I know the rules said 3 songs. But I feel forced to add at least one more... When You Gonna Learn. My first encounter with Jamiroquai. The digeridoo makes it interesting and maybe a bit odd to a new listener. Definitely a must.

I could go on for a while adding mostly older songs. Emergency on Planet Earth, Blow Your Mind... never mind. I wouldn't and couldn't settle with 3 songs. I'd convert my victims with a nice "best of hour" or something. If they won't spend an hour of their life listening to what Jamiroquai has to offer they're not worthy of conversion anyway. Wink

Yes, hehe, I think that too...
But, anyway, 'Canned Vibe' is a cool name for a JMQ track, but already exists a song with the word 'canned', so it wouldn't fit...

You haven't heard 'Canned Vibe'??? And you call yourself FANS? Bah! Obviously you don't have the dual disc version of Dynamite released in Kazakhstan. The single 'Canned Vibe' is on number 1 on Borat's Top 10.

Joking aside... of course I meant 'Canned Heat'. I don't know what went through my head when I was typing. Too much stress at work perhaps. Or too much cheeba in my youth maybe. The brain ceased to funktion. Wink

I was also believing what he was saying...jeje Cool

By the way, that´s really a tough decision, but I've always choosen this 3 songs to make my friends listen Jamiroquai:

Little L

Cosmic Girl

Love Foolosophy

They really like this kind of funky disco groove!! Me too, of course, but I also like more quality songs, like MORNING GLORY (fabulous) or FALLING (sweet)
