Le Mans, pictures and more!
Hello everyone, :bm_r:
Yep, Butterfly, Jamiroquai jammed the Le Mans raceway with a live show this past weekend. Frenchiroquai has posted some low-quality audio samples from the live show, clicky over to www.frenchiroquai.com to check them out. Also, I talked to Little C, and he went to the show and he plans on posting pictures from the gig on his site soon (http://www.jazziroqwai.fr.st). There are two pictures from the show posted by Little C on the Frenchiroquai forums too, check them out on page 2 of the forum link at the site. Thanks for listening and can't wait to see all the pictures! Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 |

Re: pictures from the gig in Le Mans
hello, it's Little C , webmaster from Jazziroqwai web site.
Iwas at Le Mans on saturday night.
great concert : it lasted 2h15 minutes.
The show began with "use the force". When i heard this song , i knew that the concert will be fantastic.
Jay was in great health!
The show started and nothing could stop it!
The cover song was this time Chic 's "i want your love". Disco era!!!
Then we had "Just another story" : i never heard this song since i go to Jamiroquai concerts ( only on bootlegs like Funky Paradise, or Tokyo Ebisu 95').
Jay jumped into the audience during a moment. i was trying to prepare my Nikon to shoot him, when suddenly he was in front of me i touched his arm , he stayed 2 seconds in front of me , then he gone....
At the end of the concert, with the help from a friend ( Alex , you're the best) , i succeded to enter in the Audi After show.
i met the band memebers : shola, Matt, Derrick ( "Not Mister Mc Kenzie, call me Derrick!", Robb and Jay. Nick was looking for a girl
i succed to ask them to sign my australian box set "the complet odyssey" and a press photo of Jay.
That was one of the best gig i 've ever seen! and i have a lot of vieo bootlegs!
hope someone has recorded it.
That's all....
Bye
Chris

Hi Chris,
thanx so much for this wonderful review - oh how I envy you for this I wish I could have been there too!!! Did you need to have tickets for the race to get into the concert? How was the mood at the after show party??? Could you talk a long time to the guys??
I love the pics at your site, they give a really good feeling of it all!!!

Hello Konni,
well for watching the concert , you needed to buy the ticket for the race. it cost 50 euros ( 2 days). You could watch the race after the show. It's really fantastic to see the cars during the night : the noise of the motors and the lights are so beautifull
Well during the after show, Jay and the members were very cool. Jay signed and talked with everyone. ( it was a job for them , the group was paid by Audi to be present and talk).
We stay ( Alex, Caroline and i ) during more than 1 hour with them. Drinking and talking about cars, videos of the group.
For exemple , i talked with Matt about the concert in Verona, and about the stuff wet ( he said me that Verona was not really the best concert they made )
When i asked derrick to sign me my australian box, he was talking with other people ( very important). he just asked me waiting 1 minute, then he called me and signed my item " keep it funky - Derrick".
well that's all... after all the members went away to their Hotel, in a french castle "relais" at 20 minutes of Le Mans.
We finished the night watching the cars in a imperial english bus , near the race. The manager of the security gave us this opporrtunity. ( Thanks Seb!)
That's all
Bye

Maybe next time they will be payed by Suzuki to join the after race party of a motorbike race Who knows.... Now I have to watch motorbike races not only because of Valentino Rossi (he is a great biker!!!) but also to watch how Suzuki does... |
