buffaloman_R Hello, buffaloman_R

Smile Well, I will tell you Mr. Az, I grew up in many of my acne-ladden teenage of the early nineties with Green Day, but I really don't like their direction since their last good album "Insomiac" from 1996 Smile. I mean, I saw them on the VMAs (Why MTV STILL gives away Video awards when they DON'T SHOW MUSIC VIDEOs continues to baffle me!), and I was a little shocked, they were in monkey suits, with wacked out hairtotally oblivious to "how a punk band should NOT look"! I still caress the old Green Day efforts (Kerplunk!, Dookie), but "American Idiot" was a flawed attempt at doing a "political album" via a major "Quandrophenia" influence (See The Who for more info!). I mean there were some telltale signs the Green Day I respected was in TROUBLE, and here they are:

GREEN DAY WARNING SIGNS:
- Where did the "Rhythm Guitarist" come from?
- When did Green Day start wearing suits like the Clash?
- Where is the fabled "Pavement" green guitar that Billy Joe played?
- When the hell did MTV give a damn about punk music?
- What is with the heavy amount of eye liner that Billy Joe is wearing?

Sorry to sound a little harsh there, but I am a very passionate music fan, and I hate to see this "Green Day 2.0" everywhere I traverse near Punk music. But I guess this is there way of "staying fresh" and inciting a whole new generation of kids to inhale glue into ANOTHER orifice....LOL! Thanks for listening to my diatribe and Peace!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

well...i listen green day when jamiroquai is not enough...well, wrong words, i listen green day when i feel tired or i cant stand more''status quo''...in that way i can say i listen jamiroquai a lot of time in comparison with green day, but when i feel angry...green day helps me too Laughing
the funny thins is some green day fans i know cant believe i love listen jamiroquai...

Green Day is not punk, it's a commercial pop punk band, like Blink 182, Simple Plan, etc... It's made for the younger audiences. Punk band are Dead Kennedys, Sex Pistols, something like that
