do you like Latin Jazz Space Clav?
i'm a big fan of it, and in my country, there are great Latin jazz bands... the more known is "Andy Duran and his Latin Jazz Big Band" _________________ This is FunkEducation, supporting the 1992-1998 Jamiroquai!!

Yeah, I love it. I haven't heard of 'Andy Duran and his Latin Jazz Big Band' before though... except for in another post you mentioned him/them. I'll have to check it out.
My wife is 50/50 Colombian/Chilean and she's into Salsa mostly. I've tried to convince her that Latin music is better with a jazzy twist... but without much success. She admitted that some songs I played were good, but too much solos makes her bored (and me excited). I can't help myself over-analyzing stuff and enjoy instrumental "masturbation"... I guess it's a musicians disease to do that.
She does like Jamiroquai more and more though, and that's a good thing. |

Today my recommendation is just about anything by Azymuth.
Check out the albums 'Before We forget' and 'Partido Novo'. both on Far Out Recordings. Excellent stuff. Especially if you have a weak spot for the sound of a Rhodes piano.
Their older stuff is great too. These guys are still going strong at their age ( ), I believe they're in their late 50's early 60's. |
