Okay, it was a toss-up between watching "herbie goes bananas" or typing this.....sadly Herbie loses....
"I've got 12 cars really worthing mentioning" says Jay Kay, 2 days before collecting the Enzo. "I haven't got two cars that do the same job. I don't have, say, a Mercedes-Benz S-Class and a Bentley.
"I want to drive things, look after them, use them regularly. What I drive depends on what needs a run; I won't let something rot just because it's a small car. And I've built a new garage now, so I can have them at home"
Jay Kay's Current Cars
Ferrari 550 Maranello
Ferrari 360 Spider"Collected from the factory; this one's gonnna be a keeper"
Bentley Amage T
1972 Lamborghini Miura SV
"Right-hand drive, one of seven in the world. The Miura is possibly one of the most beautiful car ever, but driving it takes concentration"
1964 Aston Martin DB5
"One of the last 29 built, with the alloy block, bonnet, boodlid and doors."
1963 Mercedes-Benz 300SL roadster
"Amazing, but out of all my cars, the '63 always gets the most attention - young people, old people, everyone"
1972 BMW 2002 Turbo
Kay's second Turbo. "Those 2002s, I've had ti's, tii's, they're great, I love 'em. You can drift them so beautifully".
BMW 1602
Kay's first car, recently repurchased from his didgeridoo player. "I was 22 when I bought that. It was my first (record) deal. They gave me an advance of 5000 pounds, so I gave 1000pounds to the management company and spent the rest on this little BMW"
1958 Bentley Continental S1 Park Ward
One of just a few Kay cars with a name. "Bertie )Bentleys are - the only cars that can be a male car. All the others are female
1968 Mercedes-Benz 600 short wheelbase
1974 Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman
Ex-Coco- Chanel; real, real nice".
"Oh! I forgot to mention the GTO (1980's Ferrari 250 GT replica by William Favre). It's a proper thing - snatch box, very, very quick, and a great thrill."
(hmmm...think I totally screwed with copyright there!) |

thanks Janice!
Sounds great....
But I would take the Mercedes Benz 300 SL Coupe, it is more beautiful then the roadster (silver with red leather), no question (also from historical point, won big races...)
if you are interested in this car: http://www.kienle.com
The best conservator in Europe, maybe in the world. Have a look
at these 300 SLs....
BMW 2002 is nice, but M1 is more nice Okay, it is a rarity (because
there are only around 400, I think)
Have you seen in the "cosmic girl" clip: there are three cars (Ferrari F40, Ferrari F355 Berlinetta F1, Lamborghini Diablo), but only the F40 is driven on the left side, the others are right... Funny |

The problem was, it was difficult for them to find a right hand drive...since i don't believe there are many f40s in RHD...
I would say 98% of them are LHD, since ferrari were aiming for the american market...
I would agree about the 300 Sl coupe too, much more credit on it...and those gullwing doors.......
plus the m1..what a car...just celebrated its 25th birthday with great style...
But i'm gettin' too off-topic...
I saw the picture of the enzo in the CAR mag...too bad it costs a fortune here in brazil, so i didn't have the guts to buy it..nevertheless, a beautiful car that has found its righteous owner...
on with ths speed tickets jay.... _________________

I am dreaming of these cars, but in the meantime I am happy with my (Ferrari)red Fiat Punto GT. It is mine, not leased, more or less cheap to run, fast (132 PS, 1200 kg).
Hopefully I will get my mums Mini Cooper (the new modell) in one or two years, because it is like a go-kart to drive (direct to steer)
Maybe I will achieve my aim, when I am turning 30 years, my first Ferrari |

Good luck!!! Keep on working and scrimping (is that the right translation for "knausern"??) If you're lucky you will win in the jackpot in the lottery
Or - another alternative would be to marry a rich woman

your ferrari...
Well, if i was you i'd start saving money today....
I just bought a classic '67 911 for about £11k .... it took me 5 years to get the money...but I'm saving my money to buy an 88 mondial coupe(it's a ferrari..)...i found one for £20k....with £12k plus the porsche i can get a deal...
i'm really lookin forward to it....i have half the money saved already...
my advice to you is to get a classic...if you find a 308 or a mondial its really worth it...but if you're lookin for go kart handling, try a classic mini cooper s or a 911.... _________________

I like the 911 4S, my mothers ex-girlfriend have had one.... pretty nice and fast (the sound was amazing! Sportsound package)! But my dream is the 356 (maybe from 1960), just another classic one
From the older Ferraris I would prefer the GTO, but it's to expensive
And the classics (250 GT etc.) or the other, newer ones (Enzo, F 360, 575) are just to expensive!
There is a relation to BMW from one of my family... So I hope I will get enough discount, because I am a huge fan of the M3 (with 20 to 30%, it is not so expensive anymore ).
Yeah, a rich girlfriend.... Unfortunately I don't know one, which could be rich
So, if a rich woman is reading this and between 23 and 30 years, send me an email, please! Anyway, I am happy about every email (especially from women) |
