Favorite Jamiroquai-Video
That's going to be a tough one, i know. But still... :D
I tried to open a poll with all the videos, but unfortunatly i can't add enough poll-options for all the videos. I'll ask funkmaster tomorrow if he can extend it...

Wow, that's a tough one... Virtual Insanity was the first Jamiroquai video I had ever seen, but Canned Heat was so awesome with the dancing. But Little L was great too with Jays moves and clothes, and the whole Funky nightclub space disco that I thought should've been used in Cosmic Girl. I'll get back to you on this!

Well, i think, i can make up my mind. Although it is probably pretty "mainstream" my favorite is Virtual Insanity for sure. I do think, that most of the videos are fantanstic (SC, DU, CH, LL, etc.), but VI is the most funktastic Jamiroquai-Video i have seen and one of the best in general. Not only because i love the song, but also the creative executors did a fantastic job by coming up with such great camera-techniques and all!!!

I would have to agree with you. Virtual Insanity is my favorite video, too. The whole idea was very innovative. And the dancing, clothes, effects, etc made it even better. Plus it gave Jamiroquai some well deserved recognition in the States, and they even picked up an award for the video (MTV video of the year)!

Oh, this poll is really tough 
I just voted for Canned Heat, because I dig Jay dancing through all these different rooms, especially the rotating ones :rolling:
Even my little 2-years-old son likes it. Everytime he is watching it, he curses at the man dancing on the table. He can't understand why that man is allowed to do so, while when he is trying to immitate him, mum and dad are bleating all the time!

Well, another little story about our little son  ... - just happened today:
Both of us were in the bathtub together, plashing around a little bit. Suddenly he stared at the waves we have just made and suddenly he said: "Deeper Underground, eh!?".
I almost sunk from laughing. 
However, since my son is obviously a greater Jamiroquai-video-specialist than I am, my vote goes to "Deeper Underground".

Space Cowboy: the best of the best for me !! Why? Because Jay make me laugh, when he's moving, it's increediiiible !!! Also because we see all the band, it's well-filmed (it's Mondino who made it, a french, isn't he ?!  ) and above all: I love make drawings from space Cowboy ! I've made some painted picture who mix cartoons and drawn shots from the video, the result is funny because you think see a real cartoon ! |

Still so much to discover...
I know so few videos of Jamiroquai... that I cannot even take part to this poll.
A pity could some say, but no. Actually it is great. I have so many things to discover about my favorite band. I am going to take my time and will enjoy it!
It also gives a special point of view when you see a video years fater it has been released.
"Cosmic Girl" for instance. I could not stand the video when it came out. It seemed so vain: little boy is playing with his brand new car toy.
Now I am now full of understanding for this "fun-philosophy" which is a major component of Jamiroquai's music.
I do not think I ever saw the video of "Space Cowboy". What ?!? Mondino shot it. Then it must be great.
Hey Plume de Bizon, your talent is known over the borders of France.  So why do not you sketch us nice black & white drawings for your idea of "Corner of the Earth"?

What i love with the video with space Cowboiy is that it is simple even if you've some special effects (2 or 3 Jay sometimes... ), Jay was really funny, and you can see the others members...
I've got some black&white drawing (one of them was taken from Half the man, which is !! (rare, I'm bit perfectionnist !  )
For the video of Corner, I think I would have to threaten Sony !!!   |
