I'm proud of myself, 'cos I deserve/d everything I have/had. I work too hard in every single thing I want to achieve, until I'm almost losing all strenght, trying not to give up. _________________ Call me up, turn me on, tune me in |

I am proud of being different from my school/bellydance/english mates (to the people pf my age in general). I won't deny it makes me feel sad sometimes, when I feel misunderstood, but I'm glad I'm not a Britney/Robbie fan and I'm glad that my interests go beyond getting guys just for fun and without having serious relatonships. I'm glad of my love philosophy. _________________

To me pride & "being proud" are different things. I take pride in my work so that I do it to the best of my ability. I'm not proud of anything about myself though. How can we be proud of a physical feature or a personality trait we may display? I know I have some good qualities but I'm not proud of them. I think a healthy sense of pride is something that comes about when we have had to work to achieve something. Only time it should relate to a feature of ourselves is if we've had to work hard to overcome some obstacle like controlling a bad temper, quitting smoking, recovering mobility after illness/injury or being involved in a worthy cause for others. If people become too proud of themselves it becomes haughtiness & that is a big turn off...
I take pride in things I do; but I only feel proud for things my friends or family do or organisations achieve...

hmm. Im not really proud of anything personal. After graduation I think I would be proud. Not because of having a piece of paper but rather proud of being committed to something that was very difficult- to start and finish it. Im proud of friends and proud of you all working through your walks. Dont know many of you but its nice to see you do well. |

It may sound stupid, but I'm proud of my bellydancing/arabic/dabke music collection. It has 203 songs by now and I think it's good for a begginer (I don't download everything that says arabic in it, I download only what I think it's useful for me ) _________________
