Unmade Music Videos Is unmade a real word? Oh well... Jamiroquai have had some great music videos since the beginning, but what about those songs that were never made into music videos? I wonder what they would look like... Here are some of my thoughts on what 2 of these videos might look like : You Are My Love (Maybe he's talking to Denise throughout the entire video..) Jay and Denise are in his mansion, in the kitchen. Jay sings to us "Oh let me tell you a little story about a heartbreaker" (He points at Denise). He turns to Denise and sings "Honey, I don't know why you treat me so bad, Well I tried so hard to make you see it my way, Just think of all the good times we had (goes into footage of Jay and Denise having a good time) But still you only ever want to fight with me". Jay and Denise are then on a crowded street in front of stores. He sings to her "We got to split up before we kill (Show Denise with a murderous look on her face) and start to put our minds together. We got to change this hell for leather world or I will find myself another girl (Jay eyes a passing girl on the street like in the love foolosophy video) We got to put our weapons down and spread a little love around". Jay pulls a gun out from inside his jacket pocket and throws it on the ground, then grabs Denise's hand and pulls her back to his mansion, to the bedroom. He takes her hand in his and sings "You know you are my love, you are my love, Oh yes you are. You are my love, you are my love". Footage of Jay and Denise fighting is then shown. Jay is suddenly angry from the bad memories, drops her hand and sings "Ain't you the girl who did me wrong behind my back, And you tried to keep me double booked. We never seemed to cross the tracks, and there's so much that you over-looked about me girl". The room then changes to outside in his garden. "Remember, you sat down pretty on the window sill, (Footage of that is shown) and made me swallow on your bitter pill, (Footage is shown) You thought the grass was greener over there (Denise is seen looking at the grass of his neighbors house) while serpents snaked around your hair" (Snakes come out of his garden, jump into her hair and slither around). They are now back in the kitchen. "So pour a vitriolic coffee cup (He roughly hands her a coffee cup) And use your blackened heart to fill it up". A look of anger spreads over Denise's face and she is about to smack Jay with the coffee cup, but he takes it away from her and gives her a hug, "Now hunny we got to put our weapons down and spread a little love around". They are now back in the bedroom "You know, you are my love, you are my love. Oh yes you are. You are my love, yes you are. I want you girl. I need you so. Now we know that it's no secret, you are my love, you are my world. Light my shadows, fill the heavens with stars". (Jay and Denise are gazing up at the stars and he points to a constellation that resembles her). "You are my love. You are my love, you are my love". Jay winks at her as a sign that he wants to "proclaim his love to her", she gets mad, throws a pillow at him and walks out of the room and Jay chases her, "I need you, I want you. Don't let me go, I need you so, don't let me go, I need you so. Don't let me go (fade) I need you so.." Feel so Good Jay is in some sort of space ship, circling a planet with it. He's wearing a wierd silver space suit thing which resembles the furry suit in Little l, and of course he's wearing a blade hat. He is driving around and all of a sudden bursts into song, "Feels good, I'm stranded on a spaceship hideaway. And something makes me thing I'm here to stay. I'm so happy where I am". Jay then lands the spaceship on the planet, gets out and sings "Feels good, I've journeyed to the other atmosphere. And every breath I take just makes it clear, (takes a big breath of fresh air) I'm holding heaven in my hands (a shining star falls from the sky Jay catches it and examines it, like in COTE with the planets) It's automatic baby (a bunch of people with strange outfits resembling his pop out of nowhere behind him) And it feels so good". The people do a little choreographed dance behind Jay (Like in Kylie Minogue's "Can't get you out of my head") While Jay does some robotic & breakdancing. The chorus ends and the dancer disappear. "Feels good, these extra sensory sensations, are causing me some complications. Electro static information". Light rays strike Jay from every direction (Like on the AFO album cover). "Feels good, I'm playing with a pleasure traffiker (Jay playing with it is shown), Arriving soon intergalactica. I'm holding heaven in my hands (Jay holding the fallen shining star is shown again) It's automatic baby (The dancers come out again) And it feels good". Jay gets funky again while singing the "feels good, when it feels so good" part for the rest of the song. Just before the song is over, Jay gets back inside the spaceship and takes off into space. When the ship dissapears into space that wierd space noise at the very end is played. There you go. Does anyone have any comments? Suggestions? One of your own? I want to make more, but it takes up too much time. But if you like them, say so and I will make more. I have a simular idea to the feels so good videoclip, only that they're in deep freeze in the spaceship (shaped like a buffalo man). in the itro you see it floating in space and see the band in deep freeze inside. then jay wakes and starts singing "all flights, to the moon mars and the outer galaxies...". he wakes the other members, that start to play their instruments. jay wears his afo suit, and the rest are dressed up as though they stepped out from science fiction movies: sola has the face of a clingon, rob got pointed ears, derrick has that eye equipmant that jordy laforge from star track had, nick has a cybernetic view-finder eye, and toby is the robot that sings the backing vocals. when the 1st chorus starts they start the spaceship and send it to hyperspace when the chorus ends you see J turns off the gravity and they start to float in the air. in the 2nd chorus the ship flys so fast they all stick to the walls/floor in a gravity of 6G. when jay starts to improvise ("feels good, feels so good yeahhhh, feels soooo goood") you see him as a space suit floating near the ship. when the chorus starts again he's back to the ship. in the and the ship flies away from the camera. I also have an idea for a "black crow videoclip" _________________

I see I have nothing better to do now so I'll tell my idea to the black crow video too. it happens in an abandoned battle field, maybe somewhere in kosovo (jay said it was about the war there. the camera passes there like a flying bird, showing dead people and escaping refugees. it focuses a single camp fire. the band is sitting there. jay sings the first verse and rob is playing the guitar. when the chorus starts jay looks up and th camera shows a crow flying. while it's flying, half transparent shots of jay, sola, and rob playing fade in and out (I don't know how to explain it in english). when the chorus ends the crow lands on jay's hand. he pats it through the whole 2nd verse and then lets him go. the camera focuses the hand and the crow and when it unfocuses (is that the right word?) again you see the band playing on a crow shpaed stage in front of an audience of refugees. it lasts through the instrumental break, but when the backing singers start to sing you see the crow flying again, while half transparent shots of the bandmates playing fade in and out. when jay sings again you see him riding on the crow (neather it's a very big crow or a very small jay) they fly into the sunset. _________________

Don't have time to go into detail, but I always really wanted to see a video for JUST ANOTHER STORY. I have a feeling it would be pretty violent, though. I think the COSMIC GIRL video would've been much better suited for TWOM.....and Cosmic Girl could've had a really kickin video, with much more going on than simply driving around (kind of like a mix between ALRIGHT and LOVE FOOLOSOPHY?) Anyway, i wish there were videos for ALL the songs! Cheers.

Very nice, DIDGIN. :wink: The cosmic girl video should've been like the beginning of the alright video, you see jay, and you see a girl. It's stupid that there's no cosmic girl in the video, I always thought that he was racing for the girl, but they don't ever show a girl, and the video is'nt cosmic.. :( I've got some more ideas. I'll write them out over the week. _________________

FUNKTION is really under-rated. If there were a radio edit, I would say it should've been a video. (BY THE WAY, is that an option for the still-on-hold fan video? It's a great song). Cheers.

Hey Jami Fans! I totally agree with you Freddie Hg! FUNKTION is a really great song to dance to and it's definitely under-rated! I agree that there should be videos for all Jamiroquai songs, but I think all the songs make you paint your own picture of what they're about. And by having videos to all the songs kind of spoils the fun of thinking up what you think it's about. Do you get what I'm trying to say? Anyway keep those interplanetary good vibes on!! black devil car-jay driving his enzo around monza...and the song is playing in the car¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡obviusly there's a travel around with the car. obviuslye he is with a sexy girl and every time when in the lirycs he says something to the girl he looks her eyes...the car go fast and another fast cars appears in some shoots but very fast(yea, because for the car fans the gift is find what are the hidden cars¡¡¡¡¡)and the video ends when he go with the girl to his home and his bedroom with the girl... and that open the sequel from another song... yea, the video was made in the roads of england in fast speed talulah after the days, she' leaves jay and he is looking the horizon from their house and she always is stuck remember the girl he meets the night before...and obviusly in the lyrics when he says''she's is gonna fly away'' he looks all the airplanes in a airport(i dont know a airport in england for say someone but the point here is, he is in a airport) and he looks tired, a bit sad and he dont want to leave the airport... yea, the end of the video is a night in the airport and he leaves the place in his enzo very fast... i think are good ones, maybe someone can suggest more ideas _________________ Only a fool can walk away from me this time TWM=RDLS AFO=AUTOMATON

I think I read in an interview once that Jay said he definitely did want to have a girl in the video but he was going out with Tamsin Greenhill at that time and that she wanted to be in the video and gave him a hard time about it, literally she was saying that he shouldn't have any othergirl in the video except her! Anyway Jay got pissed off that she was making it hard for him to make the video and said that he won't have any girls in it, he'll have the cars instead Smile

thers no comic girl in cosmic girl? If have get the video right they are chasing the cosmic girl. And they have never tell who it is. Jay: "we are teasing the fans and someday maybee"

Everyday Jay is sitting in a dark, blue-tinted room. The video isn't just a music video, but more of a Jackson-esque mini-movie. After a party, Jay returns home completely drunk, falls into a cozy black armchair, and starts hallucinating from all the alcohol. This is where the song begins. He's having 'visions' of this young 'girl' in front of him, who momentarily seduces him. He gets up and out of his armchair, and starts walking to her. Just as he reaches her, he collapses, again, from the alcohol, but she strangely takes his hand and stops him from falling. 'They' walk out into the corridor, and start looking together throught the window. She takes his hand and they fly away, just like Peter Pan, to some utopian place. The image then fades back to the apartment where they, only visible as silhouettes, are kissing on the sofa. As the song fades out, so does the screen, this time into an image of Jay's eyes opening. He's somewhat sober and is lying on the same sofa in which the two kissed. He thinks it all was a dream, however, when he goes to the bathroom and looks into the mirror, he sees traces of lipstick on his face, and asks himself "Could that be a dream?". I said it was a mini-movie... Falling It is sunday, and Jay decides to spend the day in bed. He starts thinking about that girl again and that's when the song begins. He fantasies about her and keeps thinking of 'last night', trying to find out who she is and where the lipstick on his face comes from. He can't stand to just lie in bed all day long, so he goes out for a stroll. You Are My Love As he goes through town, he meets this lady (Played by Denise) who's all "Do we know each other?". Jay says "I think we met each other last night." She to that, says "I think...". And somehow, the two fall in love the same day. Jay takes the girl home, and that's where the song starts. The video follws them around town, having fun and cuddling together. It ends that way too. Supersonic Jay takes the girl home. The scene switches to the point where the two are sitting in the sofa, and are watching a movie. Suddenly, an urgent news flash disturbs the tranquil atmosphere of the room. The song begins at this point. "The suspect has escaped from a lunatic asylum and is armed and dangerous" (Mix that with the intro to the song). The suspect is no other than the girl Jay's in love with. The girl pulls out a gun, obviously wanting to eliminate Jay for knowing too much. Jay runs out of the apartment and she starts chasing him. She chases Jay out of the building and through the streets. The song, probably suprisingly to the viewer fades out somewhere in the middle, whe she corners him in a dark alley. She takes her gun, mercilessly shoots Jay in the torso and runs away. Destitute Illusions (Extended mini-movie-only version) The camera zooms into Jay's eye (Which is filled with blood), and he gets a flashback of the moment they met in the reality. That's the point when you hear the 'You may think you're in heaven' line. The police are there in a matter of minutes. Jay is quickly transported to the ER. The credits roll out. Destitute Illusions (Continued) After the credits, there's a short clip of Jay waking up in a bed in the hospital. He gets up as if he woke up from a nightmare, swiftly. The screen fades out. End of the movie.
