I, too, am ever fully pissed off by the Grammys. Also not particularly moved by the FJLIS vid. Would much rather see "Seven Days" vid up for nomination. Anyone agree, or am I on an island alone here? Perhaps "Seven Days" missed the deadline for consideration. _________________ -SITTIN' IN THE SUMMER SUN |

^ yes, it missed the deadline and the promotion for that video wasn't as strong (as if there is such a thing as strong promotion with SONY) since FJLIS was the first single off of the album. |

I loved both video's. They each effect you on a different mood level.
I think that FJLIS probably had more special effects work put into it, perhaps that's why they chose to use it.
Seven Days was absolutely lovely. It looked like the funnest home movie of all times. _________________

The Grammy avards... it is in a few days! (8th february!!)
Somehow I have a hunch that Jay will appear in L.A. to the award ceremony.
Could we find out, when it will be broadcasted in the different countries, please?
Who can record it and put it online as soon as?

Hello,
Hmmm...only about 30 minutes till the Grammys, I think J will send someone like Rob or Sola to pick up the Grammy for Jami if they win. J may love LA, but I don't think he's willing to make a flight over UNLESS Sly Stone makes a unexpected appearance to perform during the all-star tribute performance for "Family Stone" tonight. But fingers crossed Jamiroquai win and JK stumbles onstage in the "lady in red" drag from the FJLIS video...HEHE! Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,

... what a shame. Would have been nice...
So then, I don't need to watch what I have taped tonight? Has someone spotted Jay in the audiene? Was he there or not? I was told he would be there...

thanks samantha for the picture!
you know i was thinking....warning - one of my rants coming.
why do jamiroquai fans think it's not cool to like a mainstream artist?
missy isn't the best, but damn..she is an intelligent woman.
she has been around longer than jamiroquai. she has been a producer and songwriter for years and behind the scenes to many of the acts that you probably dig. even if she wouldn't have went public, she still could live off of the art and her creativity.
i don't listen to her music, but to not give her credit is wrong. her videos are pretty dope. whether you want to admit it or not. i'm sorry jamiroquai didn't win, but missy is brilliant when it comes to music.
research her and you will see that she isn't just another hip-hop artist with bling and samples.
and someone on funkin called her 'fat'...amazing how we perceive and judge other people, as if we are perfect...
this is all my opinion of course backed up by a tadbit facts. |
