Nick Fyffe has left Jamiroquai (rumour)
"Rumour has it that bassist Nick Fyffe is no longer part of Jamiroquai and has moved onto pastures new. The band have a concert in Turkey on 20 September so lets see if the rumour is true. (Tue 09 Sep)"

This was posted on funkin.com and the jamline list.

Fyffe was getting too much attention because of its improving skills. Just recall that Stu Zender increased its popularity and then he had problems with Jay.

Fyffe suffered one of the famous Jay's ego attacks?

Next one in queue to get kicked out is, in my opinion: Rob Harris. Jay actually promoted Harris so much in the band that most of the public attention focused on him. And Jay don't like having stars in his band ( aside from himself )

But let's not forget that this is just a rumour Very Happy

I think that it is a shame that the negative stereotypes of Jay that the media love to perpetuate get repeated and believed. If Nick is out of the band, and it is still a rumour, there is probably a good reason. Maybe he wanted to leave?? Perhaps his playing no longer suited the band?? Who knows? I just hate the fact that people, and usually those who have never actually met Jay, automatically think the worst of him. Jay's priority is always his music. He would never have got where he is today if he let friendships cloud his judgement when it came to the music. And lets face it, we all love the band because of its amazing sound. So lets have faith in Jay and his decisions and hope that if the rumour is true, Nick is out for the good of the band and the music.

Wouldn't be sweet if Stuart Zender made a comeback or something, like Frusciante did with the RHCP?

Just picture a new album with Zender on board, that would be like -whoah-

Very Happy

scream
horror i really hope that´s just a rumor !!!!

and i agree with you " little M " !! if it´s true i think nick has just got other / personel reasons....

I think they "like" each other not just only as bandmembers... i remember 2 or 3 pictures where you can see both of them while driving a car etc....

and i can´t really believe that jay kicks someone of the band just because he´s got more attention.... no.....
