14 HOURS from Lecce to Torino? You could fly to Buenos Aires or Cape Town in that time!
And I thought English trains were crap.
The 'gig' itself is as part of the Winter Olympics celebrations I think, and it's going to involve a load of other artists too, so I'd have thought most of the tickets have gone to Winter Olympics corporate sponsors, people with tickets for certain events in that venue on that day and so forth. Still, if anyone does try and get hold of some, good luck...

Hello again,
I know, I know Freddie, I nearly fell out of my bed after I saw this ! I think that the musical artists that are performing at the Olypmics are allowing Television outlets, or network per se, use their musical catalogues for when they show highlights from that days events and activities. I also noticed one other thing, on NBC here in the states, they run a "highlights" show at midnight EST, showing off all the key events of that day and the winning moments. At about the time there's 10 minutes left in the show, they show a clip from that night's musical artist performance from Medals Plaza, first it was Andrea Bochelli, then last night it was Kelly Clarkson. Mind you, it's not the full performance, but about a 2-5 minute clip from a song being performed, but I expect we could see a snippet from Jamiroquai's performance this Thursday in the states on all NBC affiliates. For people on the East coast, it will be on about 12:50pm - 1:05 am EST, for people on the West coast, 3 hours earlier. I'll let you know more when I see it, and fans in Europe, please check your local listings for this Thursday and let us know if they are broadcasting the FULL Jamiroquai concert that evening or day. Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

Just watching olympics coverage tonight (12:50 am Feb 13 EST) and during a segment on halfpipe snowboarding they played THE KIDS! I was so shocked. I can't believe they were using it, clearly there was a jamiroquai fan putting the segment together. And maybe it has something to do with Jamiroquai performing.
If it's going to be televised I hope someone will record it. I'm almost certain that they won't show it in the states, and I'd love to see it. |
Yeah! I caught that too.
I'm thinking that they won't show them either.
They did show a portion of that American Idol chick
performing part of her hit after the speed skating though.
Maybe we can get a quick tease of Jamiroquai like that.
I'll have my fingers crossed. _________________

Yes... Does anybody know if RAI broadcasted something from the Medal Plaza during this week?
If they broadcast it, I can record the show from SAT and share it on the hub! _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here... |

At the end i think it will be a whole full gig: italian television doesn't mention anything about the international artists performing live in Torino; i read the other day a short article about the nite music events talking about the headliner jamiroquai on 16th february and nothing more
Anyway: a friend of mine is going to go there: soon i'll be able to report u review and pix about the nite

Hello again,
I feel so mad that we can't find a decent web feed to the recording of Jamiroquai's Olympic performance in Piazza Castello happening right now . But I did some looking around and found some live webcams to Torino, here is a site with some of them, sorry I couldn't anymore, I guess the TV channels that are covering this are being REAL LAZY!:
TORINO LIVE WEBCAMS:
http://66.218.69.11/search/cache?p=Piazza+Castello+webcam&ei=UTF-8&fr=FP-tab-web-t&x=wrt&u=www.regione.piemonte.it/webcam&w=piazza+castello+webcam&d=R4_vXm1aMS63&icp=1&.intl=us
The "La statua dell'Alfiere dell'Esercito Sardo
(Piazza Castello) - Torino " webcam looks like it's the closest cam to the actual concert venue, wish I could shake that camera down a little lower so we could see the damn stage! Oh well, hopefully U.S. fans will see SOMETHING tonight in the NBC coverage! Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
