Hello Jamirotalkers,

The first rumour of the Greatest Hits album appeared (for October this year):

Look on the right side, 'Dynamite' is at number 19 Smile

OK. In this topic you'll post anything you find about the 7th album.

buffaloman_R Hello, buffaloman_R

I see this topic needs some posts, so I thought I would drop my 2 cents! Well, as much as I hate to see JK bow before the juggernaut of Sony/BMG yet one more time just to get freedom, I think they should block the tracklisting of the GH compilation based on each era of the music of jamiroquai. But most likely they will just throw each song out at random like blokes do with darts at a dart board, angering old fans but helping new fans learn the "old" new songs. Still, for freedom from oppression like Sony is worth this I guess, see there I go complaining about Sony/BMG....and everything was going so well since my remasters petition that time....*sighs*...hehe! Thanks for listening and Peace!

Sincerely,
Jamirofan2000

Like I have said many times to people, Sony need to make the Greatest Hits 'buyable'.

Reletively new fans are going to buy it as a starting point and then work the're way through the back catalogue but unless the GH is released with unreleased material and/or a DVD with the videos/live footage etc. then for the big Jamiroquai fan it is not tha appealing.

Another thing is that Jamiroquai have only released 6 albums! A lot of artists seem to be releasing 'Best Of's' and 'Greatest Hits' earlier and earlier. I mean Anastacia has got a greatest hits out and I think she's only had 3 or 4 albums!!!

Many people see a Greatest Hits as a beginning of the end for artists but I hope and don't think this will be the case for Jamiroquai.

Ideally this will be the release - Jamiroquai: Greatest Hits (Volume 1) Very Happy

I wish that, along with the Greatest Hits cd, they 'd release a 2nd cd with the "best" b-sides or unreleased tracks or some kind of bonus material. It would make a lot of old fans buy the stuff, too, thus helping the sales.

Jamiroquai will always be an amazing band both studio and live, They're really great musicians, They proved themselves!! But if Sony is going to a greatest hits album, Why not launch an album f b-sides and rarities from the three fisrt albums era, or original SYN, if these era was trully the best world-wide selling?? 2banghead Plus it showed the band at its best...
